STGCC Exclusive Rebal Yoka by Phu!

Last weekend at the Singapore Toy, Game and Comic Convention adFunture released a STGCC Exclusive Rebal Yoka vinyl figure by Phu! The Blot was really glad to hear adFunture was finally releasing new Yokas, including a second colorway of Phu!’s popular New Yorka design. Limited to just 200 pieces, this red and white 2.5” figure features three points of articulation and comes packaged in a full color blister pack.

For all of us unable to attend STGCC 2012 and pick up one of these Rebal Yokas, Phu! Just put his APs up for sale. Each figure comes signed and numbered by the artist, but that’s not all! Phu! also created a custom insignia flag (with a stand) and a speargun to make this a very cool Artist Proof set. Oliver Hibert’s Milton, a character originally seen in 2008 at the “Designs of the Year Show” at the London Design Museum, has been brought back to life especially for New York Comic-Con 2011 by adFunture! Standing 9″ tall and 6″ in girth, Milton is an impressive and bold figure that represents Hibert’s eye-catching and colorful style of art.

Milton by Oliver Hibert has a limited edition run size of 200 pieces and will retail for $65 each. Collectors can purchase one starting this Thursday from the myplasticheart NYCC booth #879.

The Lout Yoka Artist Proofs by Motorbot

To celebrate Motorbot’s first production toy, the Texas artist has released 15 Artist Proof Lout Yokas with some serious enhancements! Originally released by adFunture as part of its New York Comic-Con 2010 exclusive New Yorka Series, Motorbot’s taken his A/Ps Lout Yoaks the next level with custom accessories and a brand new s/n print.

One of the reasons The Blot loves buying A/P figures, besides the ability to give my money directly to the artist, is because of the uniqueness of the figure. Often artists will embellish their A/Ps with extra paint or sell them as a set with anything from a print, to original artwork or a t-shirt. It’s the perfect mesh of custom figure and production piece, and Motorbot has done it all by including custom accessories, custom packaging and a print with his A/P Yokas.

Each A/P Lout Yoka by Motorbot comes with a custom fez, a custom cigar, comes in signed and numbered custom packaging AND includes a signed and number 4”x5” print. Best of all, this can all be yours for just $30 from the Deadbear online store.  But do it quickly, as half of them are already gone.

NYCC Exclusive Yokas by Motorbot, Reactor88 & PHU!

The Blot’s been waiting for the official announcement of this release for a few weeks now, and it’s finally here! adFunture is set to release three all new 3” Yoka vinyl figures designed by three amazing toy customizers at New York Comic-Con 2010 next month. These NYCC 2010 Exclusive “New Yorka” vinyl figures, designed by Motorbot, Reactor88 and PHU!, look pretty awesome.


These NYCC 2010 Exclusive Yokas do an excellent job showcasing the three designers’ signature styles, which is why collectors have coveted their custom figures for so many years. The Blot’s particularly excited for Motorbot’s Lout Yoka, because I love seeing artists’ characters produced on other platforms (it’s also his first production toy, congrats Motorbot!).

Each NYCC Exclusive Yoka will have a limitee edition run size of 200 figures, and will be available for purchase at myplasticheart’s NYCC booth. New York Comic-Con 2010 takes place October 8-10.

Red Dutch Edition Arkiv Instant Vinyl Figure

Mintyfresh and Outland Store have joined forces and are proud to release the red Arkiv Instant Dutch Edition by Indonesian artist Arkiv. This bloody red colorway looks awesome on the Arkiv Instant figure, and is sure to be a hit with collectors of designer/urban vinyl.


The Dutch Exclusive Red Arkiv Instant stands 11 inches tall and is limited to just 100 pieces. The figure is currently available for pre-order directly from Amsterdam’s Outland Store here for €75 each. The red Dutch Exclusive Arkiv Instant is expected to ship sometime in June, 2010, but if you want to add one of these figures to your collection you’d better act fast! Arkiv’s figures have been known to sell out quickly.

Art Asylum Boston Exclusive All Black Arkiv Instant Vinyl Figure

Art Asylum Boston has teamed up with adFunture & Arkiv to release an all Black colorway of Arkiv's infamous signature character. This is the third colorway in the series, and it is being released in conjunction with Arkiv's first solo show with Art Asylum Boston later this year. The AAB Exclusive Arkiv Instant vinyl figure is black on black, and has a beautiful shine with matt black accents.


The Art Asylum Boston Exclusive All Black Arkiv Instant vinyl figure is limited to an edition of only 50 figures, and the first 25 figures sold will include an exclusive signed and numbered, hand embellished print for $115.00. After the first 25 sell out, the figure will retail for $90.00. You can pre-order one directly from Art Asylum Boston here.

TOYSREVIL.net Exclusive YOKA

While The Blot made no “year end” or “decade end” lists this year, I am happy to share with everyone the last vinyl figure added to my collection in 2009: the 3 inch TOYSREVIL.net Exclusive YOKA! As far as I know, this is the first colorway ever created based solely on a toy blog. How cool is that!?! The Blot can only dream my lil’ ink blot will one day adorn a vinyl figure too. Congrats to Andy of TOYSREVIL.net on this awesome release.


TOYSREVIL's first exclusive production-toy was made by adFunture and launched at the 2009 toycon in Singapore. This blog exclusive figure is limited to just 100 pieces and comes packaged in a full color blister card. The TOYSREVIL YOKA retails for $35 each, and can be purchased exclusively at the newly launched TOYSREVIL online store.

Arkiv Instant Vinyl Figure by Arkiv

The Blot’s been waiting for Indonesian artist Arkiv’s Arkiv Instant vinyl figure to come out for what feels like forever, and it’s finally here! Sort of anyway...adFunture is taking pre-orders for the Arkiv Instant vinyl figure from now until June 30, 2009. The first edition of this figure will be produced strictly based on its pre-orders (plus 42 pieces for promotional purposes), so if you want one make sure you order it before June 30th or your collect is pretty much guaranteed to be Arkiv-less.


Arkiv Instant stands 28.5cm tall (a little over 11 inches) and can be purchased for $60 each plus shipping here at adFunture’s online store. A caveat to collectors hoping to add an Arkiv Instant vinyl figure to your collection, shipping on this figure is a staggering $45 to anywhere in the US.
