Hope Gallery Exclusive GID Calaverita Vinyl Figure by The Beast Brothers

On Saturday, June 13th, the Hope Gallery will be hosting “Calaverita Chaos,” the first ever Calaverita group custom art show featuring The Beast Brothers popular Calaverita resin skulls! In conjunction with the show, Hope Gallery will be releasing a limited edition Glow in the Dark Calaverita cast in soft Japanese vinyl and featuring black highlights! SDCC 13 Exclusive Death Goes Pop Book by Mike Egan

Mike Egan has teamed up with DKE Toys to produce his very first book! Death Goes Pop by Mike Egan will be making its world debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2013 and released as a special limited edition SDCC Edition. For Comic-Con only, this 50 page book will come with a signed and numbered letterpressed book plate and hand embellished screen print by the artist. Mike Egan has quickly become one of The Blot’s favorite artists. I love following him on Instagram and am continually blown away by the paintings he creates.

Rumor has it Death Goes Pop is a counterpart to something else DKE Toys will be revealing shortly! Hopefully it’s either a new Egan vinyl figure or a new superhero inspired colorway of his awesome Bones sofubi figure! Is that Egan's take on Superman on the cover of Death Goes Pop!?! SDCC 13 Exclusive G.I. Joe x Transformers Jetfire Skystriker & Hound V.A.M.P. Box Set

For the last two years Hasbro has released incredible G.I. Joe x Transformers box sets at San Diego Comic-Con that pay homage to Marvel’s classic 1980s Transformers and G.I. Joe comic book series. Each featured Cobra and Decepticon mash-ups that proved to be some of The Blot’s favorite exclusives of the past few years. Hasbro has announced this will be their last Transformers / G.I. Joe collab release, but they’ve definitely saved the best for last!

For this year’s SDCC release, Hasbro is going with a good guy theme by mashing-up popular Autobots with classic G.I. Joe vehicles. This set includes a G.I. Joe Skystriker featuring the color scheme of Autobot Jetfire and a G.I. Joe V.A.M.P. that has been redecoed to look like Autobot Hound. While these vehicles are cool, the main reason I’d purchase this set is for the action figures! It’s just too bad you can’t purchase them separately.

This San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Transformers x G.I. Joe Box Set also includes Cobra member The Baroness walking the Decepticon mini cassette Ravage! These two figures alone makes this set an instant buy in The Blot’s book. It also includes G.I. Joe Snake Eyes with an Autobot logo on his outfit and a robotic samurai warrior who bears a striking resemblance to Decepticon Pretender Bludgeon. But that’s not all! It also includes Autobot Blaster in his transformed boombox form and a handful of his mini cassette allies. These little add-ons are even cooler than the vehicles they come with!

New ED-IT DJ Resin Robots by Tesselate

Tesselate has been busy this past few weeks and has unleashed an army of new ED-IT DJ resin robots upon the world!!! First up is Z7200, a founding member of the ED-IT DJ partnership alongside B5100. Not often seen on stage or in the public eye, they operate behind the scenes and run the sister business of ACCEX, which develop and produce the machines that the crew uses.

Next up is the Z9900_k resin robots, which belong to the IT series of the ED-IT DJ collaboration crew. These wild eyed guys are fresh from the factory floor! Once taken out of production by the humans due to how intense and hyperactive they could be, they were reactivated after the passing of the 2068 Law of Awareness. The Z9900_k series primarily work at Accex Systems creating drum machines, and can sometimes be found on the stage before a ED-IT DJ production working as a their hype crew.
