Ghostbusters Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko

Ghostbusters, one of the ‘80s most iconic films, is still as fresh and funny as it was when The Blot first saw it in the theater as a kid. What’s amazing about this film franchise is it’s still relevant 30 years later. Fans of all ages still eat up anything Ghostbusters, including officially licensed comic books, clothing, cartoons, and toys like these new Ghostbusters Pop! Movies vinyl figures by Funko! This epic new wave of Pop! figures include Ghostbusters Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Egon Spengler, Dr. Raymond Stanz, the adorable (and messy) ghost Slimer and the deadly Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Each Ghostbusters Pop! Movies vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall (except Stay Puft, which stands a towering 6” tall), features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. These figures aren’t expected to hit store shelves until May 2014, but you can pre-order them now from Entertainment Earth for $9.99 each (Stay Puft is $14.99) here.

“Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown” Peanuts Screen Print by Lorelay Bove

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, which means it’s time for Dark Hall Mansion to release its yearly Valentine’s Day inspired Peanuts screen prints! This year DHM is teaming up with Lorelay Bove, an extremely talented Spanish artist who began her with Pixar and now works for the Walt Disney Animation Studios. Dark Hall Mansion’s first release of 2014 pays tribute to Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown, Charles Schulz’ 1975 ode to semi-unrequited love. While the Standard Edition print is nice, The Blot really loves Lorelay's exquisite and powerful black and blue Variant design featuring Charlie Brown and his briefcase to hold all the valentines he's desperately hoping to receive.

“Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown” by Lorelay Bove are 18”x24” numbered prints. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 280 pieces and will retail for $65, while the Variant has a limited edition run size of 50 pieces and will retail for $100. Each version also has a very limited Maple Wood Variant limited to just 5 pieces each and will retail for $250. All four versions go on sale at 9:30am PST on Wednesday, February 5th, at the Dark Hall Mansion online store.

Kung Fu Panda Screen Print by Dave Perillo

The Blot’s never actually seen Kung Fu Panda, but people seem to love it! So I know there are a lot of readers out there who will love this new Kung Fu Panda movie poster by Dave Perillo and Dark Ink Art. This colorful screen print features Po (the Kung Fu Panda) with his heroes, the Furious Five (Tigress, Monkey, Mantis, Viper and Crane).

Medicom continues its new line of Marvel 100% and 4000% Be@rbricks with two of the publisher’s most popular mutants, Cyclops and Deadpool! The X-Men leader is sporting his “Blue and Gold” ‘90s era uniform originally designed by Jim Lee, while the Merc with a Mouth is rocking his signature red and black costume.

The Cyclops and Deadpool 100% Marvel Comics X-Men Be@rbricks by Medicom will retail for around $15-20 each, while the 400% Be@rbricks will retail for around $75-85 each. Look all four figures to hit store shelves in May 2014.

The Blot loves that Johnny Cupcakes is continuing to release these epic movie themed Big Kid t-shirt designs! JC’s newest release is this RoboCop inspired “Officer Big Kid” tee. I’m just glad they went with the original RoboCop look for this t-shirt instead of the remake’s sleek new black design. Everyone knows you don’t mess with a classic!

The Topps Baseball Vintage T-Shirt Collection by Homage

While most people are talking about football on this America’s biggest sports day of the year (the Super Bowl's today, duh), The Blot thought I’d turn my attention to the nation’s former favorite pastime, baseball! Everyone at some point in their life has bought a pack of trading cards (or wax packs), whether it was baseball cards, basketball cards, Garbage Pail Kids, Magic: The Gathering or Pokemon, and no name is more synonymous with trading cards than The Topps Company. Topps definitely played a big role in The Blot’s childhood, so of course I was really blown away to find out about these Topps vintage t-shirts by Homage!

Evidently the Topps x Homage Collection has been out for a while, but no one bothered to tell me. These Topps vintage t-shirts are inspired by the magic of card collecting, and features original Topps artwork from actual wax packs and old baseball cards found deep in the Topps Archives. Five different designs were produced in all (4 t-shirts and 1 hoodie), each one better than the last. My personal favorites are the “Topps All Star Rookie”, featuring the annual Topps All-Star Rookie Team logo, and “The Real One”.

The Topps x Homage Collection is currently available for purchase in sizes XS-XXXL at the Homage online store. The vintage t-shirts retail for $28, while the vintage Topps Baseball hoodie sells for $65.

Johnny Cupcakes x Starter Black Label Super Bowl Collection

Yesterday, Johnny Cupcakes teamed up with Starter Black Label to open a pop-up shop at the Paramount Hotel in New York City in honor of today’s Super Bowl XLVIII! While the Starter Black Label pop-up shop is open all week (February 1-9th), these Johnny Cupcakes snapback hats, crewnecks and hoodies are super limited and only available while supplies last. I love these New York Giants inspired designs, especially that New York Giants Big Kid crewneck!  These are definitely the best unofficial NFL tie-ins The Blot's seen all weekend!
