Barneyism of the Week - Big Dilemma

Guys, big dilemma.

My mom's insisting that I get Robin to give James his ring back,
but Robin's refusing.
But James seems like he's really upset.
But Robin's gonna be my wife.
But James is my brother.
But Robin lets me do sex to her.
But I have to spend eternity in my mom's mausoleum.

I just wish there was a way I didn't have to take sides!
What should I do!?!

“Choose your wife.
You always choose your wife. Easy.
Got any other stumpers,
like how to answer ‘Does this make me look fat?’” - Lily

Well, maybe a little around the hips,
but no more than usual.

“You're getting married,
so I will deal with that one after your honeymoon.” - Lily

The Simpsons x BAPE T-Shirt Collection

The Simpsons x A Bathing Ape Capsule Collection

A Bathing Ape kicked off 2014 with a very unexpected collaboration with…The Simpsons! To celebrate the show’s 25th season, television’s first family has been showing up in all kinds of clothing lines these past few months. Although this release might just be The Simpsons’ swankiest yet! For The Simpsons x BAPE Capsule Collection, A Bathing Ape has re-imagined Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie in the style of BAPE’s mascot Baby Milo.

The Simpsons x A Bathing Ape Capsule Collection - The Simpsons & Baby Milo T-Shirts

The Blot’s never been a huge BAPE fan, but I do like these simplistic designs featuring The Simpsons clan and Baby Milo. The donut design is especially nice. I’m just not sure any of these t-shirts, crewnecks, zip-up hoodies, varsity jackets and snapback hats seen here are worth their hefty price tags. While most of the t-shirts sold out upon their release on January 1, 2014, many of the crewnecks and hoodies are still available at the BAPE online store for $121 and up.

Marvel Mystery Minis Blind Box Series by Funko

Marvel Mystery Minis Blind Box Series & Packaging by Funko

We’re just three weeks into 2014 and Funko’s already announced three different series of Mystery Minis. Without a doubt this Marvel Comics Mystery Mini Blind Box Series is my favorite! What’s really awesome about this Marvel series is how many different characters it includes. The Marvel Mystery Minis includes 2.5” vinyl figures of heroes Spider-Man, Deadpool, Thor, Scarlet Witch, Phoenix (Jean Grey), The Punisher, the Incredible Hulk, Silver Surfer, and villains Loki, Doctor Doom, Galactus, Thanos, Ultron and the Green Goblin. What an epic line-up! It’s especially great to see a toy line not focused solely on The Avengers and heroes like Wolverine, Captain America and Iron Man.

Marvel Mystery Minis Blind Box Series Checklist & Ratios by Funko

Marvel Mystery Minis Blind Box Series is not scheduled to hit store shelves until April 2014, but you can pre-order it now from Entertainment Earth! A full case of the Marvel Mystery Minis can be purchased for $149.99 here or a 4 pack of blind boxes for $27.99 here.

Where The Wild Things Are Screen Print by Ken Taylor

Where The Wild Things Are Standard Edition Screen Print by Ken Taylor

We’re just 2 weeks into 2014 and already we’ve had 2 different Where The Wild Things Are announcements! You’d think there was a live action movie coming out soon or something. I don’t think the 2009 film is getting a sequel any time soon, but I’m glad to see the book is still as popular ever. Mondo has teamed up with Ken Taylor to produce a beautiful Where The Wild Things Are screen print based on Maurice Sendak classic children’s book. As always, Ken absolutely killed it with his design!

Where The Wild Things Are Variant Screen Print by Ken Taylor

Where The Wild Things Are by Ken Taylor is a 21”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 350 pieces and will retail for $50, while the Variant has a limited edition run size of 150 pieces and will retail for $75. Both prints go on sale at a random time today, Thursday, January 16th, at the Mondo online store.
