Tonight Mondo is holding the opening reception for its newest group art show “SNIKT BAMF THWIP: A Celebration of Marvel Comics”! This epic exhibit features some amazing new officially licensed Marvel Comics screen prints and paintings, including these killer new Wolverine posters by Tom Whalen. I love the way Whalen was able to tell the complicated origin story of the X-Men’s most popular member in two such simple designs.
The SNIKT BAMF THWIP: A Celebration of Marvel Comics opening reception is tonight, Friday, December 11th, at the Mondo Gallery (4115 Guadalupe Street) in Austin, Texas from 7 - 10pm. Any remaining prints go be made available online after the show. The Brown Edition Wolverine screen print by Tom Whalen measures 36”x24” and is limited to 325 pieces, while the Blue Variant is limited to just 150 pieces.
