CODA has released an officially licensed screen print of the iconic movie poster for 1951’s The Man in the White Suit by artists Alfred Reginald Thomson and S. John Woods. As CODA explained, “The 1951 British film The Man in the White Suit, directed by Alexander Mackendrick and starring Alec Guinness, is one of many notable satirical comedies produced by Ealing Studios. The film’s poster was originally released in the UK in a quad poster format (30 x 40 inches) and it’s iconic design stands as a testament to the film’s enduring legacy and the innovative spirit of mid-century British poster design.”

“The poster’s striking red background serves as an unavoidable contrast to the central image: Alec Guinness as Sidney Stratton, astride in his luminous white suit. This unique vision was crafted under the direction of S. John Woods (Ealing Studios’ head of publicity from 1943 to 1959). Woods was instrumental in elevating the art of film poster design, often collaborating with esteemed artists like Alfred Reginald Thomson, a Royal Academician and Olympic gold medalist (!) in painting. The Muppets Movie Screen Print by Tom Whalen x CODA

The Blot was catching up on some emails (I’m chronically way behind) and realized I never posted about this amazing The Muppets Movie screen print by artist Tom Whalen and CODA! It was originally released as part of CODA’s first ever film screen in LA at the legendary Egyptian Theater in Hollywood, which was of course a screening of Jim Henson’s iconic 1979 film, The Muppets Movie. Produced in conjunction with Cyclops Print Works, this is an officially licensed original poster for the film.

The Muppets Movie by Tom Whalen is a 24”x36” hand numbered 9 color screen print.  The Regular Edition is limited to 150 pieces and retailed for $75, while the Variant is limited to 75 pieces and retailed for $100. Both went on sale exclusively at the screening and then later online at CODAcurates.com before promptly selling out.

Marvel Studios’ Daredevil: Born Again Screen Print by Matthew Woodson x CODA x Sideshow Collectibles

CODA and Sideshow Collectibles have teamed up to release this epic new poster by artist Matthew Woodson for Marvel Studios’ latest Disney+ streaming series, Daredevil: Born Again!  The Blot was thrilled to learn Woodson would be revisiting Charlie Cox’ Daredevil after Matthew killed it on his previously released prints for Netflix’ Marvel streaming series.

Wow, The Blot was shocked to learn that CODA is giving us not one, but two, ODB prints this year at San Diego Comic-Con 2024! Check out this epic SDCC 2024 Exclusive “Return to the 36 Chambers” Screen Print by superstar artist Tyler Stout!  For this release Stout has recreated the iconic cover to the Wu-Tang Clan member's debut solo album, Return to the 36 Chambers, in Tyler’s unique art style.
