Today, Bottleneck Gallery teams up with acclaimed artist Tyler Stout to release a beautiful new tribute to the Grateful Dead’s iconic front man, Jerry Garcia! Yesterday, Bottleneck Gallery released this amazing MEGA Grateful Dead Dancing Bear resin figures! These Dancing Bears stand a whopping 12” tall and kick off BNG’s new line of MEGA resin statues. As Bottleneck Gallery explained, “The Dancing Bear is one of our personal favorite Grateful Dead mascots, and we’ve created supersized sleek versions of the Bears. Each Grateful Dead Dancing Bear vinyl figure features five points of articulation and are available in a Regular Edition and a fully Flocked Edition (for all the fur-loving fanatics out there).

This week Bottleneck Gallery teams up with one of The Blot’s favorite artists, N.C. Winters, to release a beautiful, officially licensed Grateful Dead screen print! The Blot is a huge fan of the Grateful Dead, so I really excited to learn that Medicom was teaming up with this iconic American rock band on a new line of Dancing Bears Be@rbricks! This February Medicom will be releasing red and blue versions of The Dead’s iconic mascot as 100%, 400% and 1,000% Be@rbrick vinyl figures. The Hundreds x Grateful Dead Collection

One thing you may not know about The Blot is I’m a HUGE Grateful Dead fan. Even though I’m still in my early 30s, I proud to say I’ve even seen the Dead in concert. It was their second to last tour before Jerry Garcia passed away and somehow I convinced my parents to let me go even though I wasn’t even old enough to drive. Looking back on it that was one of the crazier shows I’ve ever been to. So when The Hundreds announced they’d be releasing a new collection of Grateful Dead clothing on 4/20 The Blot got really excited.

Bobby Hundreds called this an “unexpected and unpredictable collaboration,” but that’s why I love it so much. Over the past few years The Hundreds has released some really surprising collabs while still staying true to their brand. They seek fellow innovators in an attempt to bring their fans something new and unique. The Blot has been a huge Grateful Dead fan since Jr. High, so I was pretty excited when I heard Converse, as part of their 100th Anniversary Connectivity ad campaign, was releasing a new line of Grateful Dead Chuck Taylors. Music is a huge theme of Converse’s 100th Anniversary, and the company is wisely playing up the popularity of its Chuck Taylor All Stars within the culture of rock & roll.



The Grateful Dead Chuck Taylor All Star sneakers come in three styles, Steal Your Face, Skull and Roses, and Ice Cream Boy (by Stanley Mouse for the cover of the Grateful Dead album Europe ’72). The Grateful Dead All Stars are available now at Converse.com for $49.99 (the white Steal Your Face Chucks are $69.99).
