SDCC 12 Exclusive Thundercats Minimates Classic Series 1 Box Set

Admit it, seeing this San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Thundercats Minimates Series 1 box set has you excited! The Blot had no idea this line was even in the works, and boy does it look awesome. Fleeing their dying homeworld, the Thundercats have settled on Third Earth, a strange planet populated by fantastic creatures. Lion-O, the Lord of the Thundercats, will need the wisdom of his departed teacher Jaga, as well as the strength of his comrade Panthro, to keep his people safe. Especially since the evil sorceror Mumm-Ra has his sights on Lion-O's Sword of Omens, which contains the powerful Eye of Thundera.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Thundercats Minimates Classic Series 1 box set includes an alternate head for Lion-O, 2 versions of the Sword of Omens (both short and long versions), a removable Claw Glove which can also attach to Lion-O’s left hip, nunchucks for Panthro, a staff for Mumm-Ra, and includes a bonus Snarf figure! Lion-O Custom ThunderCats 3” Dunny by Nikejerk

Happy New Year! The Blot thought we could kick off 2012 here on The Blot Says… by looking back at some of the amazing custom work produced in 2011. And what better place to start than this sick Lion-O custom 3 inch Dunny by Nikejerk. A collector commissioned this piece from Nikejerk last summer and it is phenomenal! I’m willing to go so far as to say this is the best ThunderCats custom I’ve ever seen. It’s just too bad this figure is already in someone’s private collection.

Nikejerk spared no expense when recreating the prince of the ThunderCats in Dunny form. He sculpted Lion-O’s trademark flowing hair, sword and Claw Shield…everything one might need to battle the forces of Mumm-Ra! I’d love to see Nikejerk tackle the rest of the ThunderCats one day.
