Mictlan Unruly Variant Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez x Unruly Industries x Sideshow

Yesterday, Sideshow Collectibles launched Unruly Industries, a new designer toy brand that will be releasing a killer line up of original creations and unique takes on pop culture icons. To kick things off, Unruly Industries has teamed up with Jesse Hernandez to bring back the artist’s popular Mictlan vinyl figure! Check out the Unruly Variant Mictlan, which features a blacklight reactive paint scheme that pays homage to this immortal in his unearthly glow.

Like the Aztec God of Death for which he's named, Jesse Hernandez’ Mictlan has returned from the underworld to delight and terrify! This piece honors the Aztec God of Death, Mictlantecuhtli. Carrying the Skull Serpent staff, he presides over the souls of the underworld. Originally released in 2010, Mictlan returns with a new variant produced by Unruly Industries. The Mictlan Unruly Variant Vinyl Figure is limited to 750 pieces and stands 6” tall. Collectors can pre-order it now at the Sideshow online store for $100.

SDCC 13 Exclusive Wood Mictlan Resin Figure by Jesse Hernandez

KusoVinyl has teamed up with artist Jesse Hernandez to produce what is quite possibly the last colorway of Jesse’s hugely popular figure Mictlan! The San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Wood Mictlan resin figure looks like it was made from real wood, includes its signature staff and is limited to just 30 pieces. Collectors can purchase this epic figure at KusoVinyl’s SDCC booth #5642 for $150. And be sure to hit up KusoVinyl’s booth on Saturday, July 20th, for a very special signing Jesse Hernandez from 11am to 1pm.

There are so many amazing San Diego Comic-Con 2012 exclusives being announced every day now, but one not to be missed is the Jade Mictlan by Jesse Hernandez! This is only the second resin Mictlan released by Jesse and Kuso Vinyl, but it might be my favorite Mictlan released to date. How beautiful are the swirls of green in this figure?

DCon Exclusive Bloody Mictlan Resin Figure by Jesse Hernandez

Here’s one release The Blot was not expecting! Jesse Hernandez and Kuso Vinyl have teamed up to produce a killer set of resin Mictlans! The clear red Bloody Mictlan resin figure has a limited edition run size 25 pieces and goes on sale November 5th at Designer Con 2011. Pick one up at the Kuso Vinyl DCon booth #111 as soon as the doors open because these bloody red figures will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Dragatomi Exclusive Peyote Edition Mictlan Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez

This Saturday the newest colorway of Jesse Hernandez’ popular vinyl figure The Mictlan will be released. The Peyote Edition Mictlan, a Dragatomi exclusive, features a pretty cool color scheme of black, yellow a maroon red and a dark rich olive green. The Blot’s been wondering for months what the “Peyote” colorway would look like, and Jesse and Dragatomi definitely didn’t disappoint! I love the way the Peyote Edition darkens Jesse’s trademark red, yellow and black color scheme, which really brings out the amazing Mictlan sculpt.

The Peyote Edition Mictlan by Jesse Hernandez has a limited edition run size of 85 pieces and will be released on Saturday, May 7th, exclusively at Dragatomi.com for $70 each. In conjunction with the release of this killer colorway, Dragatomi will be hosting a special signing with Jesse this Saturday from 7 - 9pm. If you live in Northern California, you definitely won’t want to miss this exciting event.

WonderCon Exclusive Southern Mictlan Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez

The third official colorway of Jesse Hernandez’ Mictlan vinyl figure is set to be released in just a few weeks! The Southern Mictlan is a blue, white and black colorway sold exclusively at WonderCon 2011 in two weeks by KusoVinyl. This is the first time The Blot’s seen Jesse’s Aztec style in this particular color scheme, and the results definitely blow me away!

You can purchase the Southern Mictlan vinyl figure by Jesse Hernandez during WonderCon 2011 at the KusoVinyl booth #736. Jesse will also be on hand throughout the weekend signing these killer figures. The Southern colorway has a limited edition run size of 85 pieces and will retail for $70 each. Any figures still remaining after WonderCon will most likely be found at the KusoVinyl online store, so keep your eyes peeled for their official online relese.

Chase Gold Edition Mictlan Vinyl Figure by Jesse Hernandez

The Blot alluded to the chase Gold Edition Mictlan vinyl figure by Jesse Hernandez last month, but now we know for certain they exist and how you can get one! Jesse Hernandez's awesome new vinyl figure, Mictlan the Aztec God of the Dead, will come blind boxed, and 1 in every 10 will be the Gold Chase figure seen above. They look pretty awesome don’t they? And once you get your hands on one you can reenact The Blot’s favorite scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark!

Each Mictlan vinyl figure stands 6” tall, has 3 points of articulation, includes the removable accessory seen above, and comes packaged in a beautiful deluxe box with magnetized flap. Each OG Mictlan retails for $60 each, but who knows how much these chase Gold Edition figures will retail on the secondary market.

This Saturday, January 2nd, Tomenosuke will be releasing the Japan Exclusive Shadow Mictlan by Jesse Hernandez! Limited to just 50 figures, this black and white colorway of the Aztec God of the Dead will go on sale at 12:00 noon (JST) at the Tomenosuke online store and retail for around $90. This incredibly detailed 6” figure has 3 points of articulation, includes the accessory seen above, and comes packaged in a beautiful deluxe box with magnetized flap.

After debuting at the Oakland Museum's 2010 Dias de los Muertos exhibit in October, Jesse Hernandez’ newest figure, Mictlan, is now available to the masses! Mictlan, the Aztec God of the Dead, is an incredibly detailed 6” vinyl figure that comes packaged in a beautiful deluxe box with magnetized flap. The Blot especially loves this OG colorway because it features Jesse’s classic red, black and yellow color scheme.

The Original Edition Mictlan vinyl figure has a limited edition run size of 350 and retails for $60 each.
