Mister Miracle #10 Cover Artwork “Darkseid Is…” Giclee Print by Nick Derington x Bottleneck Gallery x DC Comics

One of The Blot’s favorite new comic books from the past year is DC Comics’ Mister Miracle limited maxi-series written by Tom King, art by Mitch Gerads and covers by Nick Derington. Later today, Bottleneck Gallery will be releasing Derington’s epic cover artwork for Mister Miracle Issue #10 as a giclée print entitled “Darkseid Is…”! This is the first time BNG has worked with Derington, and the print looks amazing.

As Bottleneck Gallery explained, “We’ve been massive fans of Nick Derington’s work on DC Comic’s (via the Young Animal imprint) Doom Patrol and Mister Miracle for a while now, and we’re absolutely ecstatic to be working with him! Nick’s art is expressive, intricate, and wonderfully weird. His cover for Mister Miracle #10, out in comic stores in early June, is just devastatingly good, and we couldn’t be happier to present it as an official print!”

“Darkseid is…” by Nick Derington is a 16”x20” hand numbered Mister Miracle fine art giclée print. Limited to just 100 pieces, this DC Comics print will go on sale at 12pm EDT today, Tuesday, April 24th, at the Bottleneck Gallery online store for $45.

This Saturday, April 22nd, is Record Store Day!!! There are a number of awesome exclusives this year, but The Blot’s #1 must get is this awesome DC’s Young Animal Mixtape “Into The Cave We Wander” Vinyl Picture Disc by Gerard Way! This release includes a vinyl record picture disc, a mixtape comic and a poster. The 12” picture disc features two new recordings by Gerard, which were written to go with his new comic book series Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye from DC Comics’ Young Animal imprint.

The Record Store Day 2017 Exclusive Young Animal Mixtape “Into The Cave We Wander” Vinyl Picture Disc was designed by Paul Rentler using Michael Avon Oeming's art from the new Cave Carson series as well as older Cave Carson artwork. Each disc comes in a clear vinyl sleeve, and includes the following: a 32 page comic book featuring an all-new 3 page story by Gerard Way and Michael Allred, previews of four DC’s Young Animal comics: Doom Patrol, Shade, the Changing Girl, Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye and Mother Panic, and an 11”x 17” poster featuring characters from each of the series drawn by Nick Derington.

The Record Store Day 2017 Exclusive DC’s Young Animal Mixtape “Into The Cave We Wander” Vinyl Picture Disc by Gerard Way is limited to 4,800 pieces and features two songs: “Into The Cave We Wander” and “Pogi’s Cavern”. Boss Fight NES “The Legendary” Pokemon Screen Print by Nick Derington x Nakatomi

It’s been awhile, but Nick Derington’s popular Boss Fight NES Screen Print Series is back!!! As you probably remember, Nick launched the original Boss Fight NES prints with Nakatomi Inc. as a Kickstarter project way back in 2015, and it blew up huge!!! Then he did a follow up KS project with three new prints based on the games of ID software in 2016. Well the Boss Fight Nintendo Series continues with this killer Pokemon inspired design entitled “The Legendary”!

“The Legendary” by Nick Derington is a 12”x24” signed and numbered Pokemon screen print. Boss Fight 2: Ode to Id Video Game Themed Screen Print Series by Nick Derington

Nakatomi and Nick Derington have teamed up once again to release a killer new video game themed print set entitled Boss Fight 2: Ode to Id! While the first Boss Fight prints paid tribute to the greatest “boss fights” from Nick’s favorite console games of the ‘80s, Boss Fight 2 pays homage to the PC gaming scene of the ‘90s. If you played video games through the ‘90s then you got to witness the birth, development and utter domination of the First Person Shooter genre that these three screen prints pay tribute to! This art project attempts to visualize those final encounters in all their magnificence so that we can once again “Quake” at the player's impending “Doom”.

Boss Fight! Video Game Themed Print Series by Nick Derington

Later today Nakatomi will be releasing an awesome new video game themed print set by Nick Derington entitled “Boss Fight!” Each screen print in this 3 piece set is inspired by an iconic classic Nintendo game. There’s the Super Mario Bros. themed “The Lizard”, the Legend of Zelda themed “The Pig” and the Metroid themed “The Brain”. All three prints look fantastic, and would look sick on your walls individually or as a full 3 piece set.
