Five Points Fest 2024 Exclusive OG GID Rose Vampire, Carlton & Bat Boy Vinyl Figures by Super7

This weekend at Five Points Fest 2024, Super7 is resurrecting its original (and super popular) glow in the dark colorway for three very special exclusives! At FPF, Super7 will be releasing the Glow in the Dark Rose Vampire, Bat Boy and Carlton. Each figure is cast in glow in the dark soft Japanese vinyl with blue spray and red details. Super7 is going super old school with their last two Rose Vampire and Carlton releases, first with the Skulletor release and now with this OG GID edition.

Bat Boy stands 6” tall, while the Rose Vampire by Josh Herbolsheimer stands 4” tall and the Kandy Kaiju Carlton is 3” tall. All three figures can be purchased at the Super7 Five Points Festival booth #B27.

Skulletor Rose Vampire, Carlton & Keep Watch Mummy Boy Vinyl Figures by Super7

Super7 resurrected one of its most popular color schemes last month, the Masters of the Universe inspired Skulletor colorway! Paying homage to the evil Skeletor, the Skulletor colorway is cast in light blue soft Japanese vinyl and features lime green, yellow and purple sprays with burning red eyes. For last month’s sofubi release, Super7 released Skulletor versions of the Monster Family Rose Vampire, the Kandy Kaiju Carlton and the Keep Watch Mummy Boy (a collab with Mishka).

The Skulletor Keep Watch Mummy Boy stands 6” tall and retailed for $65, while the Skulletor Rose Vampire by Josh Herbolsheimer stands 4” tall and retailed for $45. The Skulletor Carlton stands 3” tall and retailed for $30.  All three were sold exclusively at Super7.com and promptly sold out upon release. Super7 Designer Con 2023 Exclusive Sofubi Figures with Collabs with Mishka & Leecifer!

Super7 will be at Designer Con 2023 this weekend where they will be releasing some mind blowing new colorways of some old S7 Japanese Vinyl friends! Super7 is bringing back their beloved sofubi figures in a big way at DCon with these limited edition releases – Blazing Pink Rose Vampire and Ghost of Earth Wolf by Joshua Herbolsheimer, Blazing Pink Honoo by Leecifer, and Swirling Void Ooze Bat (which is the figure’s first release in almost a decade!!!). All four figures can be purchased exclusively at the Super7 DCon booth #833. Now who can pick me up a Rose Vampire!?!?

But that’s not all! Super7 is also teaming up with Mishka to release this awesome Designer Con 2023 Exclusive Bruised & Bloody Keep Watch Mummy Boy vinyl figure! This bloody Keep Watch Mummy Boy can be purchased exclusively at the Mishka DCon Booth #717.

NYCC 2023 Exclusive Pumpkin Boy & Rose Vampire Vinyl Figures by Super7

The Blot was beyond exciting to learn that Super7 would be releasing new sofubi colorways at New York Comic Con 2023 last weekend! First up is the NYCC 2023 Spooky Spirit Pumpkin Boy, the Halloween inspired alter-ego of Super7’s Mummy Boy mascot who only comes out for very, very special occasions. Designed by Super7’s Brian Flynn, the 6” Spooky Spirit Pumpkin Boy is cast in translucent orange soft Japanese vinyl and is ready to celebrate the spookiest season. This beautiful new figure retails $60 exclusively at Super7.com.

The figure that really got The Blot excited is the NYCC 2023 Exclusive Autumn Blossom Rose Vampire! From deep beneath the soil an ancient friendly flower blooms once again. Designed by Super7’s Josh Herbolsheimer, the 4” Autumn Blossom Rose Vampire is cast in orange soft Japanese vinyl, and is accented with gold sprays and burning blue eyes to warm your heart from within.  This limited edition release retails for $45 exclusively at Super7.com.

Five Points Fest 2023 Exclusive Mummy Boy & Rose Vampire Vinyl Figures by Super7

The Blot was pumped to learn that not only will Super7 be at Five Points Fest 2023 in NYC this weekend, but they’re bringing new sofubi!!!! Check out the beautiful Green Flash Mummy Boy and Fresh Cut Rose Vampire. It’s been years (2021 in fact) since we’ve gotten a new colorway of S7’s 6” mascot size Mummy Boy or 4” Monster Family RV. No details on price, yet but I need a Rose Vampire for my collection!  Who’s got the hook up!?!?! Hopefully some will show up at Super7.com after the convention.

The Super7 20th Anniversary Sofubi Collection

If you’ve been reading The Blot Says for a while, then you know I’m a diehard Super7 fan. S7 has always done an incredible job engaging with their collectors, taking feedback, and being as transparent as possible on the progress of different releases. And even though they don’t release as much sofubi as they used to, The Blot still likes to support all of the company’s many projects. So I was super excited when Super7 kicked off its 20th Anniversary celebration last week with an amazing new batch of soft Japanese vinyl figures of their most iconic original characters – Mummy Boy, Pumpkin Boy, Rose Vampire and Wing Kong!

Twenty years ago this year, no one was making what we wanted. In 2001, Super7 started as a magazine about vintage Japanese toys. We took our backgrounds in punk and skate fanzines, design and production, and eventually started making things ourselves. The Super7 20th Anniversary collection is a celebration and we want to thank all of the friends and fans we’ve made over the past 20 years! – Super7

Each figure in the Super7 20th Anniversary Sofubi Collection is cast in a unique one of a kind creamy orange and glow in the dark marbled vinyl pattern with soft yellow, red and metallic gold sprays. Handmade, hand-painted, and imported from Japan, these limited edition releases come poly-bagged with a custom header card. Mummy Boy and Pumpkin Boy are mascot size (6” tall) and retail for $85 each, while the Rose Vampire is Monster Family size (4”) and retails for $60. Konnichiwa Spring! Super7 has released their Spring 2021 collection of limited edition handmade sofubi figures, which includes their five micro figures in unpainted translucent clear soft Japanese vinyl. Super7's First Sofubi Vinyl Figure Release of 2021!

Super7 is kicking off 2021 with a new wave of original S7 sofubi characters!  The Blot absolutely loves the fact that Super7 seems to be back to a regular release of their signature creations cast in wonderful soft Japanese vinyl.  Head to Super7.com this Friday, January 8th, to purchase these 5 rad new colorways!

Super7's Surprise Black Friday Sofubi Vinyl Figure Collection!

Super7 Drops a Surprise Collection of new Japanese Vinyl Figures!

To celebrate Friday the 13th, Super7 surprised us a all with a huge crop of new sofubi!  The Blot’s a diehard fan of Super7’s soft Japanese vinyl figures, and it was great to see so many old classics back and better than ever.  This new wave of figures includes the mascot size green Mummy Gator 6” vinyl figure ($65), and two Monster Family 4” classics – Honoo (Clear Purple) by Leecifer and Rose Vampire (Dark Blue) by Josh Herbolsheimer – each retailing for $35.

While Super7 won’t be bringing any sofubi to San Diego Comic-Con this year, they are bringing an insane amount of SDCC 2019 exclusive apparel – including this beautiful Rose Vampire t-shirt by Beast Is Back (aka Christopher Lee)!!!! How cool is that!?! As you know, The Blot’s a huge fan of Josh Herbolsheimer’s Rose Vampire and I’m pumped to be getting a “super” rad new tee featuring Lee’s take on the classic Super7 character. Without much fanfare, today Super7 released new colorways of two of their most popular Monster Family figures! Check out this absolutely gorgeous Orange Rose Vampire 4” vinyl figure by Josh Herbolsheimer. There’s a reason this adorable sofubi flower is The Blot’s favorite figure!

Every rose has its thorny vampire and spring rises again with the Orange Rose Vampire! This new colorway was cast in orange soft Japanese vinyl and features yellow and red sprays that reflect his sunny diabolical nature. The Orange Rose Vampire is available now at the Super7 online store for $35 each.

DCon Exclusive “Midnight Monster” Rose Vampire Vinyl Figure by Josh Herbolsheimer x Super7

The Blot was super pumped to learn one of my favorite figures, Josh Herbolsheimer’s Rose Vampire, was making a surprise appearance at Designer Con 2017 in a super sleek black colorway! The Designer Con Exclusive Midnight Monster Rose Vampire stands 4” and is cast in black soft Japanese vinyl with red, metallic green and gold sprays.
