Deadpool IMAX Teaser Movie Poster

Deadpool Theatrical One Sheet IMAX Teaser Movie Poster

The Blot is loving everything about this new Deadpool IMAX teaser movie poster!!! From the Stan Lee cameo to Deadpool riding on Colossus’ shoulders, everything about this image is hilarious and awesome – just like what I expect the film to be like. Ryan Reynolds has done an amazing job embodying Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth and I’m beyond thrilled that FOX is utilizing Deadpool’s iconic costume. Gratuitous violence, comedy and action…what more could fans of this fourth wall break mutant ask for!?! Deadpool opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, February 12, 2016.

Deadpool’s Hilarious New Teaser Movie Posters

Deadpool Theatrical One Sheet Teaser Movie Poster

The Blot can’t believe we’re just a few weeks away from the world premiere of a Ryan Reynolds starring live action Deadpool movie. This movie looks so kick ass!!! But I honestly never thought this day would come after the way FOX butchered the character in X-Men Origins: Wolverine making it almost impossible for Reynolds to get a second crack at the beloved Marvel character. Thank god for whoever released that that Deadpool test footage a few years giving the project a second life.

Deadpool Theatrical One Sheet Teaser Movie Poster

This Deadpool movie is going to be bonkers, what with the film perfectly capturing the Merc with a Mouth’s wisecracking, murderous, fourth wall breaking personality to a “T”! Just check out these hilarious Deadpool teaser movie posters, which really showcase the mercenary’s twisted sense of humor. Buy your tickets now, because Deadpool is going to be blowing up! Deadpool opens in theaters everywhere on Friday, February 12, 2016.

Deadpool Teaser Movie Poster

Deadpool Theatrical One Sheet Teaser Movie Poster

With all of the fantastic, over the top Deadpool trailers and photos hitting the internet as of late, there’s something nice about the simplistic nature of FOX’s first teaser one sheet movie poster for next Marvel mutant film. The Blot never thought this film was getting made, but boy am I glad it is! Ryan Reynolds looks absolutely perfect as the Merc with a Mouth, and I can’t wait to see more of Colossus. He looked sooo spot on in the last Deadpool trailer.

Deadpool attacks theaters everywhere on February 12, 2016.

Official Green Lantern Still Photos: Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan

Official Green Lantern Still Photos - Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern Hal Jordan

Ok, so Warner Bros. finally released some official still photos of Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern Hal Jordan and all anyone can talk about is his feet!!! I am pretty sure this was the complete opposite reaction DC Comics was hoping for. After all the money they spent on the computer graphics for this Green Lantern film you’d think they would have ended up with a better result. I don’t hate it as much as I did at first glance, but these photos are not getting me excited to see this film.

I know they’ve been tweaking Green Lantern’s look for months, but couldn’t they have spent a little extra time design him some boots? If we’ve learned anything over these past few weeks between the Wonder Woman costume and now this, it’s that the boots really do matter! Let’s be honest, if I had a power ring that would allow me to design any costume I could imagine there isn’t a single design that doesn’t include shoes. That’s it, end of story…so get Hal out of those wanna be Vibram FiveFingers “shoes” and put some cool boots on him!

And don’t even get me started on the fact that the movie is just now hiring someone (Michael Clarke Duncan) to voice Kilowog…the film comes out in 9 freaking weeks! How in the world are things this far behind?

Green Lantern is scheduled to limp into theaters on June 17, 2011.

Green Lantern Official Trailer and Pictures

The official first trailer for the Green Lantern feature film debuted yesterday and it’s interesting to say the least. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the Green Lantern Corps would play such a major role in the film, and it looks like we’ll be seeing more Green Lanterns than I originally thought. But I was hoping to have stronger positive feelings for this film after seeing some footage and yet I still feel pretty lukewarm to the whole project.

Green Lantern First Look - A Green Lantern Ring

This is the first major comic book movie from DC Comics and Warner Bros. not staring Batman or Superman, and I really hope they don’t screw it up! What do you think? Does the trailer above have you excited for this summer’s Green Lantern?

Thanks to Comic Book Resources for the trailer above (sorry about the commercial but it's the best copy I could find) and the pictures of the Green Lantern Corps!

Ryan Reynolds even looks believable as Hal Jordan (and yes, that is freaking GL Kilowag at the end of the clip). Be sure to tune in on Tuesday to see even more of this sure to be DC Comics summer blockbuster!

Green Lantern: The Animated Series Teaser Poster & Concept Art

One of the best things to come out of New York Comic-Con 2010 is this first teaser TV poster for the upcoming Green Lantern: The Animated Series! This new animated television show from Warner Bros. Animation and executive producer Bruce Timm will debut on the Cartoon Network in 2011.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series Teaser Television Poster

Even though 2010 was all about Green Lantern and Blackest Night, I think it’s safe to say 2011 is shaping up to be an even bigger year for Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. In fact, depending on how well the live action movie does, 2011 might be “The Year of Green Lantern.” If you’re as excited about the upcoming GL animated series as The Blot is, you’ll want to check out the character concept art below of Hal Jordan, Kilowog, Atrocitus the the Guardians.

Green Lantern Teaser Character Movie Posters

San Diego Comic-Con 2010 is over, but that doesn’t mean Comic-Con related news will stop. This past weekend DC Comics and Warner Bros. debuted the first set of teaser one sheet character movie posters for their upcoming live action Green Lantern film. In The Blot’s honest opinion...these posters rock!

Green Lantern Teaser Character Movie Poster Set - Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern
Green Lantern Teaser Character Movie Poster Set - Blake Lively as Carol Ferris
I love how these theatrical one sheets fit together to form the outline of the Green Lantern logo and each poster includes a different stanza of the Green Lantern Corps’ oath: “In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship evil's might, beware my power... Green Lantern's light!” They also do a bit of foreshadowing with the Hector Hammond theatrical one sheet featuring a slightly yellow outline.

Green Lantern Teaser Character Movie Poster Set - Mark Strong as Sinestro
Green Lantern Teaser Character Movie Poster Set - Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond
Green Lantern is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 17th, 2011 and stars Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris, Mark Strong as Sinestro, Peter Sarsgaard as Hector Hammond, Temuera Morrison as Abin Sur, Tim Robbins as Senator Hammond and Angela Bassett as Dr. Amanda Waller.

Green Lantern Motion Picture First Look - Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern Hi-Res Photo

San Diego Comic-Con 2010 is almost upon us, and fans lucky enough to sit in the Green Lantern live action movie panel are in form some killer surprises I’m sure. For the rest of us there’s the cover to this week’s Entertainment Weekly Special Comic-Con Preview, which features the first ever photo of Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern! Click on the high resolution photo below for an incredibly detailed look at the Emerald Warrior:

While I don’t hate the character’s all CG look, I’m not really a fan of it either. And I really hate all the unnecessary texture and ribbing the films’ special effects team added to GL’s classic look. I don’t know about you, but The Blot kinda likes my superheroes in spandex.

Warner Bros.’ live action adaptation of the DC Comics' comic book Green Lantern is scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 17, 2011.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Cast Photo

This awesome promo photo of the cast of X-Men Origins: Wolverine comes directly from the main man himself, Wolverine (a.k.a. Hugh Jackman), and is a real who’s who of the mutant Marvel Universe. Harry Knowles of Ain’t It Cool News had it emailed to him by Jackman to help hype the movie and put fans minds at ease about the rumors of onset issues and the need for potential reshoots. I don’t know about you guys, but seeing the photo below of what could be the movie's Weapon X team really has me stoked for the upcoming mutant movie.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Cast Photo - Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Live Schreiber as Sabretooth & Lynn Collins as Silver Fox

The photo above would definitely be a bad ass X-Men team if you ask me. It features Ryan Reynolds as the merc with a mouth Deadpool, Taylor Kitsch as the Cajun Gambit, Hugh Jackman as Wolverine the best there is at what he does, Live Schreiber as the murderous Sabretooth and Lynn Collins as the not too long for this world Silver Fox.

Hopefully we’ll get a better look at some of the other mutants making a planned appearance in this film such Dominic Monaghan’s Beak, Daniel Henney’s Agent Zero, Kevin Durand’s The Blob and Will.I.Am’s Wraith.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine, directed by Gavin Hood, opens on May 1, 2009.

Official X-Men Origins: Wolverine Trailer

The Blot has been waiting awhile to finally watch the new X-Men Origins: Wolverine trailer that debuted in theaters a few weeks ago before The Day the Earth Stood Still. There had been some grainy bootlegged versions on YouTube, but I wanted to wait to watch a good copy of it. Thankfully 2oth Century Fox officially released X-Men Origins: Wolverine's trailer online today so I wouldn’t have to subject myself to sitting through The Day the Earth Stood Still. You can check the new trailer out at the movie’s official MySpace page or watch it here at The Blot Says… below:

To be honest, I had some reservations about how this movie would turn out. After hearing about all of the characters and different storylines they were going to include, it sounded like director Gavin Hood and star Hugh Jackman were trying to do too much. But after seeing this trailer all my reservations are gone. X-Men Origins: Wolverine looks freaking awesome.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine debuts on May 1, 2009.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Teaser Trailer and Movie Poster

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Teaser Photo
One of the biggest surprises at San Diego Comic-Con 2008 was an appearance by the star of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Hugh Jackman, and he didn’t come empty handed. Fans in attendance were treated with a never before seen trailer for the upcoming X-Men prequel.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Teaser Movie Poster
There are two trailers in the YouTube clip below, the first shows Wolverine’s bones being fitted with his adamantium exoskeleton. The second trailer, a bootleg version from the Wolverine SDCC panel, sets up the plot of the movie and gives us a first look at many of the characters in the film including Liev Schreiber as Sabretooth, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Will.I.Am as Wraith, Kevin Durand as The Blob and Taylor Kitsch as Gambit.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Cast and Characters Leaking Out

Hugh JackmanBefore The Blot starts compiling his thoughts and theories concerning this week’s Lost episode I just had to share the ever increasing leaks and rumors involving the upcoming Hugh Jackman potential franchise (or is it a franchise already with this being his fourth film staring as Wolverine) X-Men Origins: Wolverine. People have been wondering since the movie was announced just who would be popping up in this Wolverine prequel. According to comic book lore Wolverine has been alive an incredibly long time so there is a list of hundreds of X-Men favorites who could and should be popping up. Well finally this week Variety has the scoop and a low down of roles cast for the 2009 movie that is sure to be a summer blockbuster.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine Teaser Image
Taylor KitschMutant fans can rejoice in knowing one of Marvel’s all time favorite X-Men, the Cajun card wielding mutant Gambit, will finally be making his movie debut. Cast as the shady character is Taylor Kitsch from NBC’s Friday Night Lights. (link) It has also been reviled that Deadpool, the Merc with a Mouth, will also be showing up in Wolverine and be played by Ryan Reynolds (Blade: Trinity, Waiting). (link) Rounding out the latest bit of casting news is Lost’s Dominic Monaghan as Barnell Bohusk (Beak), Daniel Henney as Agent Zero (a.k.a. Maverick) and the Black Eyed Peas’ Will.I.Am as John Wraith. (link)

Ryan ReynoldsIt seems with the Will.I.Am joining the cast as Wraith we now have almost a full squad of Team X, a black ops squad for the mysterious Weapon X program. Included on that team are Agent Zero/Maverick, Live Schreiber’s Victor Creed/Sabretooth and Lynn Collins’ Silver Fox. The presumed main villain of the movie, along with Weapon X and Sabretooth, is Danny Huston as William Stryker. More details to come as they leak out onto the net!
