Skratch 9th Life Resin Figure by Erick Scarecrow

The 2nd colorway of Erick Scarecrow’s Skratch resin figure will be released later today, and it’s entitled Skratch 9th Life. This pink and black figure looks great, and I’ve got a feeling this particular colorway is going to be extremely popular with ESC Toy collectors! Each 6" hand painted resin figure comes signed, numbered and packaged by artist.

The 9th Life Skratch colorway has a limited edition run size of just 30 pieces and will retail for $130 each. These figures will go on sale today, November 12th, at 11am EST at the ESC Toy online store.

Skratch 9th Life’s back story: Late one evening around midnight, Skratch Purple Claws fell asleep listening to her favorite ESC podcast, The Revenge of Chelly Chainsaw. The sounds of Chelly's chainsaw bringing silly toys to their end brought comfort to her big ears. She fell into a deep sleep and started to dream. Skratch was in a large room with a hair brush and floating mirror. As she began to brush her hair in her reflection, sounds from the Chelly Chainsaw podcast were heard in the background. She purred in her bliss.

Suddenly the mirror broke and from its shards her alter ego appeared called the "9th Life." Skratch was impressed by the colors of her alter ego’s outfit, so much so Skartch became jealous of her. Stuck with no way out of the dream, Skratch must now battle against the "9th Life" in a deadly game of....patty cake.

On Friday, Erick Scarecrow unveiled the next resin figure from ESC Toy, Skratch Purple Claws. This 6" hand painted resin figure by ESC will come signed, serial numbered and packed in ESC Toys’ trademark “Scarecrow box.” Skratch Purple Claws will go on sale this Friday, August 27th, at 9am EST at the ESC eBay store.


Skratch Purple Claws’ Story: Recently Skratch grew tired of her job stacking boxes at a local toy shop. She was underpaid, cranky and hated the fact that she didn't get any freebies. Her big mouth boss made her job harder by telling her that if she worked a little harder, she would be awarded the title "Employee of the Month.” Skratch couldn't care less about the title. Every month that title went to a lazy Purpolo Papa Sama that was favored by the boss for some mysterious reason, but that's another story.

One day a large box fell on Skratch's head due to the Purpolo Papa Sama's neglect. She couldn't take it anymore and decided to quit. Her boss asked "where are you going to find a better job in this economy? Besides you're a purple puss with no boots. Who would hire you?" That "purple puss" comment drove Skratch over the edge as she popped her claws out and went after her boss. The chase came to a halt when they noticed an ice cream covered mouse opening an ice cream store across the street. It was lunch time.
