Today, Mondo will be releasing a pair of new movie posters from Oliver Barrett for John Carpenter’s brilliant and subversive examination of consumerism, They Live. The Blot loves They Live and I’m a sucker for any artwork for the movie featuring the film’s star, Rowdy Roddy Piper, prominently – especially when the artwork is this amazing! As Mondo explained, “Fellow bubble-gum loving badass Oliver Barrett deftly crushed it with these posters. They are a beautiful ode to one of Carpenter’s signature films.”
They Live by Oliver Barrett is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 230 pieces and will retail for $60, while the Variant is limited to 120 pieces and will retail for $75. Both colorways go on sale at 11am CT on Thursday, June 2nd, at MondoShop.com via The Drop.
