One of my favorite parts of the designer art toy world is its use of super hero inspired color schemes! Some of my favorite vinyl figures pay tribute to the heroes and villains of the DC and Marvel universes. So of course The Blot got super stoked when I heard the news that Nathan Hamill would be releasing a “Super Soldier” Edition Strife and Sire vinyl figure at San Diego Comic-Con 2013! For this SDCC exclusive Strife is dressed up as Avenger Captain America, while Sire looks like the evil Red Skull. What a perfect colorway for Comic-Con!

Bait Exclusive Fire & Ice Edition Strife & Sire Vinyl Figure by Nathan Hamill

Nathan Hamill’s Strife and Sire are back in an exciting new colorway sold exclusively at Bait! The Fire and Ice Edition Strife and Sire vinyl figure is a two piece figure that depicts Strife, the warrior imp, in an intense red to represent his undying loyalty to the fallen god Sire, whose skull is painted in a cool blue to complete the contrasting fire and ice theme.

This 7” figure is limited to just 100 pieces, includes this killer mini print, and will retail for $50 each exclusively at Bait online store beginning on January 20th. DCon Exclusive Dead of Night Edition Strife and Sire by Nathan Hamill

The second colorway of Nathan Hamill’s Strife and Sire vinyl figure drops this Saturday at Designer Con 2012! Featuring a beautiful black and red color scheme, the Dead of Night Edition stands 7” tall, has a limited edition run size of just 100 pieces and can be purchased exclusively at TAG'’s DCon booth #400 for just $50.

Everyone who saw this fun new figure from Nathan at NYCC has been raving about it, and The Blot’s pretty excited to see this version in person on Saturday. Hamill will also be on hand to sign your Strife and Sire purchases during his signing at the Toy Art Gallery DCon booth from 1-1:30pm.

Strife & Sire Vinyl Figure by Nathan Hamill

Next week at New York Comic-Con 2012 Nathan Hamill will be unveiling his newest vinyl figure, Strife and Sire, at Tenacious Toys’ NYCC booth #3121 on Friday, Oct 12th, at 3pm! Nathan will also be on hand to sign for those lucky fans able to take home this 7” vinyl figure. Strife, a warrior imp of Calendula, was an attendant and protector of the once mighty but now fallen god, Sire. Though only his skull remains, Strife is a loyal creature through and through. He still watches over Sire in death, awaiting his prophesied return.

The Blot loves the look of Strife and Sire, and it’s almost like you’re getting two figures for the price of one. I’m really interested in finding out whether they come apart, but regardless this piece will definitely make an awesome addition to anyone’s collection. The Standard Edition Strife and Sire (seen above) has a limited edition run size of 150 pieces and will retail for $50.
