Zelda: A Link to The Past “The Destiny of This Land is In Your Hands” Screen Print by Arsenal Handicraft

The Blot was recently introduced to Arsenal Handicraft, a husband and wife illustration / screen printing studio based out of Detroit, MI. Their latest release is this fantastic Zelda: A Link to The Past inspired print entitled “The Destiny of This Land is In Your Hands”. As Dennis and Christina Jacobs explained, “This print was inspired by our childhood memories of retrieving the Master Sword in Zelda: A Link to the Past on Super Nintendo. The color change from glow in the dark to daytime light is meant to mimic actual gameplay, as the game's colors brighten after obtaining the sword.” Pretty cool, right!?!

“The Destiny of This Land is In Your Hands” by Arsenal Handicraft is a 16”x20” four color glow in the dark Zelda: A Link to The Past screen print. Limited to just 90 pieces, this Nintendo inspired print features blue and white glow in the dark inks, and is currently available at the Arsenal Handicraft online store for $50. Each print also includes a hand bound zine of the Book of Modura with a metallic gold screen printed cover.

Harry Potter Mystery Minis Blind Box Series by Funko

Funko has announced a new Harry Potter Mystery Minis Blind Box Series based on the iconic characters of J.K. Rowling! Rest assured this is only the first of many Harry Potter Mystery Minis mini figure series. This exciting new series includes “The Boy Who Lived” Harry Potter, his friends, Hermione and Ron, as well as Hogwarts Headmaster Albus Dumbledore and “He Who Must Not Be Named” Lord Voldemort! Dobby the house-elf, Draco Malfoy, Professor McGonagall, and Rubeus Hagrid are part of the set too. This blind box series also prominently features animals from the series, including Hermione’s cat Crookshanks, Hagrid’s over-sized boarhound Fang, and Harry’s owl Hedwig, among others.

The Harry Potter Mystery Minis blind box series has 16 unique 2.5” scale figures, and possibly some of Funko’s signature rare mystery chases and/or variants. While this exciting new Harry Potter series is not scheduled to hit store shelves until July 2016, you can pre-order it now from Entertainment Earth! Nosferatu GID Screen Print by Chris Garofalo x Grey Matter Art

Grey Matter Art has teamed up with artist Chris Garofalo to release a new limited edition glow in the dark screen print for the classic 1922 horror film Nosferatu! As Garofalo explained about the print, “Nosferatu is a timeless classic, a captivating story wrapped in unsettling, yet beautiful imagery. It's nearly impossible NOT to be inspired visually and creatively by this film, and for me, it was all about the typography. I found something very unique and interesting about the shapes that the letters made, so I rolled with it and the end result is something I'm very proud of, both conceptually and technically.” And if you look really closely, you’ll see the glow in the dark layer has a nice little surprise in it!

Nosferatu by Chris Garofalo is a 24”x9” signed and numbered 3 color glow in the dark screen print. The Crypt Edition and Castle Edition are each limited to just 40 pieces and will retail for $25 per print. Both versions are scheduled to go on sale at 1pm EST tomorrow, Wednesday, April 27th, at the Grey Matter Art online store.

Bottleneck Gallery celebrates Alien Day 2016 with new prints by Laurent Durieux, Mark Englert & Chris Skinner

In honor of “Alien Day” (aka Tuesday, April 26th), Bottleneck Gallery is releasing a number of really awesome Alien inspired prints designed by Laurent Durieux, Mark Englert and Chris Skinner! Alien by Laurent Durieux is a 24”x36” nine color hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 550 pieces and will retail for $65, while the Metallic Variant is limited to just 225 pieces and will retail for $85. There’s also a super rare Metal Variant that’s limited to 50 prints and sell for $250.

“Should we take a look inside?” by Mark Englert is a 12”x36” seven color hand numbered Alien screen print with a glow in the dark layer. The Regular Version will be a timed edition available until April 27th at 1pm EST and retail for $50, while the Variant is limited to 225 pieces and will retail for $65.

“Hide and Seek” by Chris Skinner is an 18”x24” six color hand numbered metallic Alien screen print. This awesome design is limited to just 175 pieces and will retail for $45. Alien by Jay Shaw is an 18”x24” solvent print on 9mil front print backlit polyester film. How insane is that!?! What an incredible idea and it looks like it turned out perfect. This unique print is limited to just 70 pieces (a tiny run for Mondo) and will retail for $60.
