Bottleneck Gallery and Tyler Stout – one of The Blot’s favorite artists – are teaming up once again to release an epic new screen print for Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal! As BNG explained, “Tyler Stout whisks us away to the wild world of Thra! 1982’s The Dark Crystal remains one of the most ambitious puppeteering projects and films of all time, and we’re celebrating its legacy with a brand new alternative movie poster from Tyler. Much like the film, Tyler’s poster features layers and details that draw you in and capture your attention wholly. Featuring a smartly and intricately designed collage of characters, symbols, and settings, Tyler’s print is an enthralling ode at Jim Henson and Frank Oz’s beautifully dark story and world. We’re particularly fond of Tyler’s drawing of Fizzgig, the best furry critter in all of Thra!”
The Dark Crystal by Tyler Stout is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 375 pieces and will retail for $75, the Copper Variant with metallic inks is limited to 250 pieces and will retail for $85, and the Gold Variant is limited to just 150 pieces and will retail for $85. BNG is also releasing an Acrylic Panel Edition on a 4mm thick acrylic panel with archival pigment inks, which is limited to 50 pieces and will retail for $125.
