Boba-Def 24” Resin Figure by kaNO

One of The Blot’s all time favorite designer toys is about to get blown up…in a good way! ToyQube has announced the production of a new Boba-Def resin figure by kaNO that will be a whopping 24” tall. I scored one of these Star Wars inspired Hi-Def vinyl figures way back at San Diego Comic-Con 2009, and it’s been one of my prized possessions ever since. Now everyone that missed out on that classic SDCC exclusive has another shot!

The giant Boba-Def Resin Figure by kaNO stands 24” tall, is made from resin and comes securely packaged in diecut foam inside a double walled corrugated box. It appears to include a resin record accessory and can be pre-ordered now at the ToyQube online store for $399 (with a $200 non-refundable deposit).

Kidrobot Exclusive Gold Edition Friendly Fire Resin Figure by Jason Freeny

Earlier this year Mighty Jaxx released the Mickey Mouse inspired “Friendly Fire”, an awesome new resin figure by Jason Freeny! I love the way Freeny juxtaposed Disney’s friendly mascot with a devastating bomb. This “killer” figure sold out almost instantly at STGCC, but a second colorway is now available thanks to Kidrobot. Check out this stunning metallic Kidrobot Exclusive Gold Edition Friendly Fire! This shiny new 9” figure debuted at Designer Con 2015 last weekend and is limited to just 200 pieces. The Blot hasn’t heard if the Gold Friendly Fire sold out at DCon, but look for any remaining pieces to be available at the Kidrobot online store soon!

DC Comics & Marvel Pop! Enamel Pins by Funko

Is it just The Blot or is everyone releasing their very own enamel pins these days? Not to be left out of a trend in pop culture, Funko is launching their own Pop! Pins series. Based on their ever expanding line of Pop! vinyl figures, Pop! Pins Series 1 includes some of the most popular heroes and villains of the DC Comics and Marvel universes.

Pop! Pins Series 1 includes Marvel’s Deadpool, Iron Man and Loki, DC Comics’ Batman and Harley Quinn, and based on the popular The CW television series, The Flash. Each Pop! metal pin measures about 1.5” in diameter and comes packaged on a cardback and bagged. These comic book Pop! Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Hikari Sofubi Disney/Pixar Vinyl Figure by Funko

Funko has finally officially announced its very first (of what The Blot assumes will be many) Disney/Pixar Hikari Sofubi vinyl figures! To kick things off, Funko turns its attention to the original Disney/Pixar film Toy Story with this spot on Buzz Lightyear Hikari Sofubi figure. This might just be the most perfect looking Hikari ever released! What’s interesting about this figure is how Funko is no longer making its figures look styalized, and instead are going for a more movie accurate look. It’ll be interesting to see if this is a new trend in their ever expanding Hikari toy line.

Each Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Hikari vinyl figure stands 7.75” tall, includes a hand numbered card to prove authenticity and rarity, and comes packaged in a full color window box perfect for display. Marvel’s Daredevil TV Series Pop! Vinyl Figure Series 1 by Funko

Funko’s Marvel Cinematic Universe Pop! vinyl figure toy line expands with a new series based on the hit Netflix television series, Daredevil!
