Obey Giant “Bayshore Billboard” Screen Print by Shepard Fairey

Obey Giant “Bayshore Billboard” by Shepard Fairey

Shepard Fairey will be illustrating some of his favorite street spots from over the years to be included in the upcoming graffiti art show “Art In The Streets” at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. The first Obey Giant “Art In The Streets” print is “Bayshore Billboard,” based on a 2003 photo by Mark the Cobra Snake. The print is of a billboard on Bayshore Blvd. in San Francisco, and the silhouette is of a random lackey Fairey hired because “I don’t do street art myself.” The Blot really likes the idea of a series of prints featuring some of Fairey’s favorite spots, and I’m really looking forward to seeing what other locations he illustrated.

“Bayshore Billboard” by Shepard Fairey is an 18”x24″ screen print, comes signed and numbered by the artist, and has a limited edition run size of 450 pieces. This first Obey Giant print from the “Art In The Streets” art show will retail for $45 each and will go on sale at a random time this Thursday, March 10th, at the Obey Giant online store.
