How in the world did The Blot miss Munky King’s release of the third colorway of Anthony Ausgang’s Bomb Cat 2.0!?! Sculpted by Dave Pressler and based on an illustration by Anthony Ausgang for the cover of LA Weekly in 2000, thirteen years later the piece is now being refined and re-released for a new generation of collectors. On June 10, 2014, the “Bangin’ Blue” Bomb Cat hit the Munky King online store. After debuting at SDCC 2013, this third version of Ausgang’s Bomb Cat features Ausgang’s signature matte blue finish with silver chain and wick. Cast in solid resin and limited to just 10 pieces, this killer figure retailed for just $70 before ultimately selling out.
