N.C. Winters has teamed up with PangeaSeed to release this gorgeous new seven color screen print “Fading Away”, which highlights the current plight of the planet’s coral. As N.C. explained, “It was challenging to both illustrate the beauty of what we’re rapidly losing due to climate change and pollution, but also underscore the danger of the current situation. Thus, two versions of the print were made. The full “lush” version highlights the overwhelming color and beauty of a natural coral reef, while the “bleached” version emphasizes how much of the coral is looking today, bleached, devoid of color and near dead.”
“Fading Away” by N.C. Winters is an 18”x24” signed and numbered screen print on French Construction Pure White 100 lb cover paper in both a full color Lush Edition and the desaturated Bleached Edition. Each edition also comes in two versions: regular and deluxe. The regular version of each edition features seven colors, while the deluxe versions feature an additional two plates – a glow in the dark layer as well as a transparent spot gloss glitter flake for added emphasis.
Fading Away Lush Regular Edition is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for $75, while the Lush Deluxe Edition is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $135. Fading Away Bleached Regular Edition is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $100, while the Lush Deluxe Edition is limited to 65 pieces and will retail for $150. All four versions of Fading Away will go on sale at noon PDT this Thursday, August 6th, at shop.pangeaseed.org.
