Today, Bottleneck Gallery and ISH are teaming up with artist Tom Whalen to release the ultimate pizza parlor gig poster!!! The Blot is a huge fan of The Rock-Afire Explosion and Whalen killed it on this screen print for the animatronic band designed for ShowBiz Pizza Place. As BNG explained, “Tom Whalen has rounded up the whole gang for his newest gig poster: Billy Bob Brockali, Fats Geronimo, Rolfe DeWolfe, Mitzi Mozzarella, and so many more. The Rock-afire Explosion were the premier animatronic restaurant band in the ‘80s, and Tom’s newest print commemorates the legendary band and its many iconic members. Tom’s print is an explosion of color, and we’re excited to release this print dedicated to the ‘80s pop culture phenomenon.”
The Rock-afire Explosion by Tom Whalen is a 36”x24” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for $50, while the Variant is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $60.
