The Dark Crystal Screen Print by Kilian Eng x Bottleneck Gallery

Today, Bottleneck Gallery is teaming up with acclaimed artist Kilian Eng again to release this gorgeous alternative movie poster for The Dark Crystal! As BNG explained, “The Dark Crystal is a masterwork of puppeteering, and one of the most interesting movies from the early ‘80s, featuring a dark fantasy story with rich lore and colorful characters. Kilian’s print encompasses so much of the movie – the incredible flora of Thra; the unbelievably cool dark fantasy architecture and character designs; and the heart of the film, Jen and Kira. Nobody does it like Kilian, and we’re excited to present a poster for an innovative cult classic.”

The Dark Crystal by Kilian Eng is an 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 250 pieces and will retail for $85, the Variant is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for $95, and the Variant Acrylic Panel Print on 4mm thick acrylic panel with archival pigment inks is limited to 50 pieces and will retail for $125. MondoCon 2019 Exclusive The Dark Crystal Movie Poster Screen Print by Todd Slater x Mondo

Mondo continues to unveil its officially licensed exclusives for MondoCon 2019 each day this week. The Blot was thrilled to learn Mondo was teaming up with artist Todd Slater to release a wonderous new movie poster for Jim Henson’s The Dark Crystal! It’s been a while since I’ve seen a new movie poster from Slater, and he killed it! Another World, Another Time... In the Age of Wonder.

The Dark Crystal by Todd Slater is a 36”x18” hand numbered screen print limited to 275 pieces, and will retail for $50. This print, along with pins, apparel and tikis can only be purchased at the official Mondo booth at MondoCon 5. RSD Exclusive The Dark Crystal Original Soundtrack LP Vinyl Record

This Saturday, April 22nd, is Record Store Day!!! There are a number of awesome exclusives this year, including this awesome reissue of the original The Dark Crystal soundtrack in honor of the film’s 35th anniversary! This is the first time the soundtrack has been available on vinyl since the film’s original release. The Record Store Day 2017 Exclusive The Dark Crystal Original Soundtrack LP Vinyl Record features Richard Amsel’s original movie poster for the film as its cover artwork and is pressed on 140 gram “Crystal Clear” vinyl.

The Dark Crystal: The Original Soundtrack features Trevor Jones’ musical score written for the film, arranged specifically for an album listening experience. The album was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra at the legendary Abby road studios in 1982. This release is limited to 1,500 pieces, and can be purchased this weekend at local participating indie record stores.
