This Thursday, Bottleneck Gallery is teaming up with artist Dave Perillo to release a new poster for the Marvel Studios animated series, X-Men ’97, airing now at Disney+. As BNG explained, “Dave’s X-citing new print gathers the X-Men from the recent all-star animated series, X-Men ‘97. Seeing the X-Men return to the animated world with world class animation and some truly talented writing has been a childhood dream come true, and Dave’s print is a terrific ode to the marvelous mutants as they return to the pop culture spotlight.”

Marvel has announced an exciting new series of New York Comic Con Exclusive Skottie Young Marvel Character Pins! Every year these limited edition enamel pins are some of the hottest, most sought after exclusives at NYCC, and The Blot is anticipating high demand for these fantastic Marvel pins based on the awesome animated comic book covers by Skottie Young.

The New York Comic Con 2018 Exclusive Skottie Young Marvel Pin Series includes three 3 packs ($25 each): Women of Marvel (Thor, Captain Marvel, Scarlett Witch), Fantastic Four (Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing), and X-Men (Wolverine, Magneto, Nightcrawler). The only thing that would make this poster better is if it included my favorite mutant, Jamie Madrox the Multiple Man.

The Blot is a huge fan of the classic ‘90s version of Rob Liefeld’s beloved mutant soldier from the future, Cable. Although this version looks more like an X-Men version of Cable than an original X-Force era, how can you not get excited about a mini bust that features all those signature Liefeld pouches and a big giant gun? Ok, the truth is these awesome, illustrated Deadpool 2 teaser one sheet movie posters have been out for a really, really long time. But The Blot’s just been sitting on them waiting for today – the day Deadpool 2 officially hits theaters! Both of these DP2 posters are freaking hilarious in their very own off kilter way. But if I had to pick, I think I would say the Thanksgiving Day dinner poster with the film’s entire cast is the better of the two. Then again, the juxtaposition of Deadpool and Cable in the poster above is pretty freaking great.

Deadpool 2 opens today, Friday, May 18th, in theaters across the globe. So go see it already!

May 17th and May 18th Robert Liefeld will be hosting two can’t miss screenings of Deadpool 2 at Kirkorian Theaters (8290 La Palma, Buena Park, 90620), and best of all – tickets are still available! Tickets to the screening will include an exclusive comic book with a variant cover illustrated by Liefeld, as well as this killer Deadpool 2 mini poster. It’s so cool seeing Liefeld draw the movie version of characters he created for Marvel. What do you think of his take on this version of Deadpool, Cable, Domino and Colossus?

Tickets to the screening are just $39.99 each, and can be purchased at Rob Liefeld’s online store. Fans can start lining up for both events at 6pm, with the theater opening at 7pm. There will be a 30 minute talk with Rob Liefeld prior to each screening!

Mondo continues its popular Marvel Cinematic Universe Portrait Pins Series by Matt Taylor with three new Deadpool 2 pins exclusive to the Alamo Drafthouse! Fans who pre-order tickets to see Deadpool 2 at an Alamo Drafthouse location can add to their order these killer pins of Deadpool, Cable and Domino based on their appearance in Marvel’s popular comics books. Each single post pin measures around 1-2” tall, and is pressed on shiny gold or matte silver metal with a butterfly clutch backing. While it looks like these pins are no longer available via the Drafhouse website, they should be dropping on the Mondo online store later this week for $10 each.

Deadpool 2 Final Movie Poster

The Blot can’t believe we’re less than two weeks away from opening weekend of Deadpool 2! The marketing for this X-Men film has been hilarious, and the movie posters have been top notch. I can’t even list out all the ridiculousness of this epic Deadpool 2 final one sheet. It’s like the ultimate meme on steroids. This film is going to be epic… plus it’s got X-Force and Shatterstar! But what really cracks me up is that it’s billed “from the studio that killed Wolverine”!!! How awesome is that? I love that FOX lets the Deadpool team go full on meta.
