Deadpool 2 Mini Movie Poster by Rob Liefeld

May 17th and May 18th Robert Liefeld will be hosting two can’t miss screenings of Deadpool 2 at Kirkorian Theaters (8290 La Palma, Buena Park, 90620), and best of all – tickets are still available! Tickets to the screening will include an exclusive comic book with a variant cover illustrated by Liefeld, as well as this killer Deadpool 2 mini poster. It’s so cool seeing Liefeld draw the movie version of characters he created for Marvel. What do you think of his take on this version of Deadpool, Cable, Domino and Colossus?

Tickets to the screening are just $39.99 each, and can be purchased at Rob Liefeld’s online store. Fans can start lining up for both events at 6pm, with the theater opening at 7pm. There will be a 30 minute talk with Rob Liefeld prior to each screening!

Deadpool Movie Poster Screen Print by Rob Liefeld & Mondo!

Oh man, here’s one announcement The Blot never saw coming… Rob Liefeld, one of my all-time favorite comic book artists, is teaming up with Mondo to release an officially licensed movie poster screen print for FOX’s upcoming live action Deadpool film!!! And seriously, is there any better artist for Mondo to work with on this project than the Merc with a Mouth’s original creator? As far as I can tell, this is Liefeld’s very first screen print and it looks bad ass! Here’s hoping we see more releases from Liefeld and Mondo in the future.

Deadpool by Rob Liefeld is a 24”x36” hand numbered 13 color screen print. The Standard Edition is limited to 325 pieces and will retail for $55, while the Variant is limited to just 175 and will retail for $75. Both versions go on sale at a random time this Friday, February 12th, at the Mondo online store to commemorate the film’s opening weekend in theaters.

Amazing Comic Con Comes To Houston!

We’re just 3 weeks away from Amazing Comic Con, one of the biggest names in comic conventions, coming to Houston for their first ever Texas show!!! After launching “amazing” conventions in Arizona (Phoenix) and Las Vegas, Amazing Comic Con is poised to take over the Lone Star State on August 29th-31st. What’s awesome about Amazing Comic Con shows is how focused they are on the comic book industry and you would not believe the huge names they’re bringing to Houston this summer!

For the inaugural Amazing Houston Comic Con, they are hosting a venerable who’s who from the comic book industry. To kick things off, AHCC is bringing in two founders of Image Comics, superstar creators Jim Lee (who is also co-publisher of DC Comics) and Rob Liefeld! It’s like the ‘90s all over again with how these two creators are dominating the industry. You can't get bigger named comic book guests than this!

Also appearing at Amazing Houston Comic Con are the co-creators of Wolverine, and legends in their own right, Len Wein and Herb Trimpe, along with some of The Blot’s favorite creators Bob Layton and Houston’s very own Terry Moore.
