Forbidden Planet Screen Print by Kilian Eng

Dark Hall Mansion has announced its next officially licensed movie poster and it is the “Forbidden Planet” by contemporary artist Kilian Eng! Eng's futuristic take on the 1956 classic is at once moody and atmospheric. His approach right from the outset was to specifically make his “Forbidden Planet” about this strange far-flung world, focusing not only on the environment but its tone. At once organic and quietly futuristic, it allows the viewer to search out classic sci-fi elements, not the least of which is one quite unique and ground breaking robot.

Forbidden Planet by Kilian Eng is a 24”x36” hand numbered 9 color screen print on Mirri foil paper. The Standard Edition is limited to 280 pieces and will retail for $65, while the Variant is limited to 50 pieces and will retail for $100. DHM is also producing 15 Canvas Variants with a unique Kilian colorway that simply cries out for a black light. This super limited edition will retail for $250 each. All three versions of this beautiful Eng print will go on sale at 9:30am PDT this Wednesday, June 17th, at the Dark Hall Mansion online store.

SDCC 13 Exclusive Blue & Purple Robby the Robot Forbidden Planet Die-Cast Figures

Robby the Robot comes to vivid die-cast life as two exceptionally detailed and extremely limited San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusives. For those of you unfamiliar with this iconic movie robot, Robby the Robot is from the 1956 sci-fi classic Forbidden Planet.

This 7” figure features 12 points of articulation and comes in two limited edition colorways, Blue and Purple. Each version is limited to just 200 pieces and can be purchased at the Previews SDCC booth #2401.
