Masters of the Universe Screen Print Set by Tom Whalen x Bottleneck Gallery

Today, Bottleneck Gallery and artist Tom Whalen will be releasing a killer Masters of the Universe matching print set, which will be having MOTU fans everywhere screaming “By the Power of Grayskull!” As BNG explained, “Masters of the Universe has been a lore-filled world of cartoons, toys, comics, etc. since the early ‘80s, and we’re excited to hop into the perpetual fray with Tom Whalen’s set of prints dedicated to both sides of the battle. Tom’s print set features He-Man and Skeletor headlining pieces filled with their respective allies and troops and wizards and funky fishmen. Tom’s prints are bold, colorful, and send us right back to mashing our favorite MOTU toys together in fictional fights!”

Masters of the Universe by Tom Whalen is a set of two prints, one featuring He-Man and the heroes of the MOTU and one featuring Skeletor and all the franchise’s bad guys. Each poster is a 12”x36” hand numbered screen print. Masters of the Universe He-Man Deluxe Mondo Exclusive 1/6 Scale Figure

A little over half a decade ago, Mondo released its first ever Masters of the Universe collectible figure. Not only was it the first ever 1/6th scale MOTU collectible, but Mondo had the freedom to redefine the character and update it in a way that now only Mondo is known for. The first figure in this new toy line was He-Man, and now over six years later – and after 10 different figures in the Mondo MOTU collection – Mondo is proud to present the return of He-Man!

This new He-Man Deluxe Mondo Exclusive collectible figure is the definitive version that celebrates multiple versions of He-Man, as well as some of his most well-known accessories from the original ‘80s Mattel toy line. Although the original He-Man figure is amazing in its own right, Mondo felt that if they were going to go back and rerelease He-Man, there should be a substantial amount of new accessories to make this feel like a deluxe and definitive version. With that in mind, Mondo dug deep into He-Man figures of the past and picked some of their favorite representations of the character. 

First, Mondo updated the design of He-Man’s original chest armor. From there, his battle armor was the next obvious piece to include, as the armor is a staple in the He-Man lore and collectibles. But you can’t do the battle armor without a nod to the original toy’s spinning H mechanism. And while Mondo couldn’t do the spinning mechanism because of the way their figures are made, they still included something special. There is now a swappable “H” that snaps on and off with a magnet. It may not be as fun as a spinning H, but trust Mondo… snapping that H on-and-off is pretty satisfying in its own right.

Mondo then took it a step further by adding all the “Thunder Punch” He-Man accessories, including the gem caps, lightning punch swappable hand effect, and so much more! The He-Man Deluxe Mondo Exclusive 1/6 Scale Figure will be available only at MondoShop.com as a 24 hour timed edition, which goes live at 12pm CT today, Tuesday, June 21st, and retails for $260.
