2 New The Simpsons Screen Prints by Dave Perillo x Dark Ink Art

As part of Dark Ink Art’s ComicCon@Home 2021, they released two new San Diego Comic-Con 2021 Exclusive The Simpsons screen prints by Dave Perillo! The “Explore Deep Space” poster is inspired by the 15th episode of Season 5 entitled “Deep Space Homer” while the “Mr. Sparkle” poster is inspired by the 22nd episode of Season 8 entitled “In Marge We Trust”. Each The Simpsons poster by Dave Perillo is a 12”x24” signed and numbered screen print limited to 240 pieces and retails for $55.  Mr. Sparkle features metallic inks and there is even a Foil Variant of the Mr. Sparkle print that is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $60. SDCC 2021 First Look: Godzilla Museum Attack Peter Statue by Mondo

Last weekend as part of ComicConAtHome 2021, Mondo unveiled their new Godzilla Museum Statue Series! It is a line that will focus on the rich history and alternative universe of the King of Monsters, and begins its Series 1 with statues based on the ‘70s cartoon, Gojira, and an original design by artist Attack Peter. The Blot is blown away by how Mondo transformed Attack Peter’s beautiful linocut block artwork into a 3D statue. It’s almost like they’ve taken one of his super detailed linocut prints and made it come to life!  And according to the artist, this is the first Godzilla figure made from a linocut!

The upcoming Godzilla Museum Attack Peter Statue by Mondo will stand 8.25” tall with base and 7.5” tall without the base (meaning I think the base is removable). The name plaque on the base is also magnetic and removable.  More info on this small scale Godzilla statue series to come!

SDCC 2021 First Look: Man-Thing Painted Soft Vinyl Figure Prototype by James Groman x Mondo x Marvel Comics

Last summer, as part of San Diego Comic-Con 2020 at Home, Mondo showed off James Groman’s amazing concept art for their upcoming Man-Thing Marvel Comics soft vinyl figure (seen here).  Then earlier this year we got our first look at the 3D sculpt of the figure (seen here). But this past weekend Mondo blew The Blot’s mind when they showed off this fully painted prototype of Groman’s Man-Thing figure as part of ComicConAtHome 2021!!! How amazing does this figure look!?! The Blot cannot wait to add one to my collection. The Man-Thing soft vinyl figure will stand 12” tall and was designed, sculpted and printed by toy legend James Groman.
