While Dredd is an amazing character, the Judge Dredd films have always been a huge disappointment in the box office – although the latest Dredd film was actually pretty good! The new television series, Judge Dredd: Mega City One, will, according to Deadline, “be an ensemble drama that follows a team of Judges – futuristic cops invested with the power to be judge, jury, and executioner – as they encounter the myriad challenges of a world in which east-coast cities have merged into a giant megalopolis. Despite its 22nd century setting, many of the issues they encounter will have echoes of those today – from the dangers of domestic terrorism to the tensions between the ultra-rich and the disenfranchised.” What do you think!?! The show’s first teaser poster has me pretty excited!

To commemorate both 2000 AD’s anniversary and the festival, Vice Price will be releasing a killer slate of officially licensed 2000 AD screen prints by both classic 2000 AD artists and some of the best artists in pop culture today.

Check out this awesome Judge Dredd screen print by Matt Taylor! The poster is a 40cm x 50cm hand numbered screen print on Construction Recycled White French Paper. The Standard Edition is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for £35, while the Festival Exclusive Variant is limited to 40 pieces and will retail for £40.

This weekend at Thought Bubble 2016, Vice Press will release the next officially licensed, limited edition screen print in its popular 2000 AD Series! “Anderson” is the third piece in Raid 71’s insane Mega City Series and features psychic law enforce Judge Cassandra Anderson.

“Anderson" by Raid 71 is an 18”x24” hand numbered 2000AD 5 color screen print. The Standard Edition is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for £30, while the Variant is limited to 40 pieces and will retail for £40. The Blot’s a huge fan of Whalen’s work and I love seeing him apply his unique art style to such an iconic UK comic book character. Both versions of the print will first be made available at Vice Press’ Nice Comic Con booth (table 68 in the Harpur Suite).

2000 AD Mega City Series “Countdown to Necropolis” Screen Print by Raid 71

Vice Press, under license from Rebellion, has release the next officially licensed, limited edition screen print in its popular 2000 AD Series! “Countdown to Necropolis” is the second piece in Raid 71’s insane Mega City Series, which depicts The Dark Judges standing atop the bones of their victims outside the Hall of Justice. Judge Dredd better watch out!

“Countdown to Necropolis" by Raid 71 is an 18”x24” numbered 2000AD 6 color screen print. The Standard Edition is limited to 100 pieces and retails for £30, while the Glow in the Dark Variant is limited to 50 pieces and retails for £40. Classic Sci-Fi Mystery Minis Blind Box Series by Funko

Funko has announced their newest line of Mystery Minis blind box series, and it has to be setting some kind of record for most licensed properties ever in a blind box toy line! The Classic Sci-Fi Mystery Minis Series includes adorable 2.5” versions of iconic characters from science fiction movies and television shows such as Predator, Alien, Mars Attacks Alien, Judge Dredd, Robby the Robot, Robocop, Star Trek’s Spock, B-9 from Lost in Space, Tron, Metaluna Mutant, E.T., The Rocketeer, and Mal and Jayne from Firefly/Serenity!

The Classic Sci-Fi Mystery Minis Series also includes a couple of sweet glow in the dark, clear, metallic and blood splattered variants. While most figures have a 1/12 ratio, there are a few harder to find designs that feature 1/36 and 1/72 ratios making this one of the harder Mystery Minis Series to complete.

Judge Dredd Pop! Vinyl Figure by Funko

Based on the legendary 2000 AD comic book series, Judge Dredd joins Funko’s equally legendary Pop! Heroes vinyl figure toy line! Joseph Dredd was a Street Judge that patrolled Mega-City One, and had the jurisdiction to instantly convict, sentence, and execute offenders. Now he’s about to embark on his greatest mission yet…to join your Pop! collection. The Blot’s pretty surprised to see Judge Dredd joint the Pop! Heroes line, especially since to this point it’s only included DC Comics heroes and villains. I’m glad to see even more comic book characters added to Funko’s growing stable of licensed properties.

Each Judge Dredd Pop! vinyl figure features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. This figure isn’t expected to hit store shelves until January 2014, but you can pre-order it now from Entertainment Earth for $9.99 each here.

Dredd 3D Screen Print by Jock

Last weekend at Fantastic Fest, Mondo released this epic Dredd 3D screen print by Jock in honor of the film’s screening at Alamo’s weekend movie festival. I haven’t seen Dredd 3D yet, but I hear it’s pretty good. Hopefully there will be some 2D screenings of the movie still playing by the time I make it to my local theater next week. The Blot’s always been a huge fan of Jock’s comic book artwork, and his style fits perfectly with the aesthetic of Judge Dredd. This print is honestly pretty perfect, and I almost wish Jock had used a similar design for his The Dark Knight Rises poster.

Dredd 3D by Jock is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. It has a limited edition run size of 275 pieces, and can be purchased at the Mondo online store tomorrow, Thursday, September 27th, at a random time for $45 each.

This has got to be the weirdest tie-in to this summer’s upcoming Judge Dredd live action film Dredd! Unbox Industries has teamed up with 2000 AD to release this weird, yet cuddly, Judge Death plush figures designed by UK based design duo TADO. Judge Death, the classic Judge Dredd villain, is the leader of the Dark Judges, a group of creepy undead law enforcers. After that description, is this a character just screaming plush doll or what!?!
