Today, Grey Matter Art kicks off its continuing series of premium art prints entitled “Painted Works of the Marvel Universe” with three beautiful giclee prints by artist Paolo Rivera! Beneath the Planet of the Apes Screen Print by Paolo Rivera x Mondo

Mondo’s first print release of 2019 is this stunning new movie poster for Beneath the Planet of the Apes by Paolo Rivera! The second entry in the iconic film series, Beneath focuses on a new astronaut named John Brent who is on a rescue mission to save the astronauts from the original film. Along the way he also encounters the intelligent talking apes and an underground cult of mutant nuclear blast survivors. This artwork by Rivera was originally released as cover art for BOOM! Studios’ Planet of the Apes: Ursus limited miniseries, Mondo is now teaming up with BOOM! to release Paolo’s gorgeous art as a screen print.

Beneath the Planet of the Apes by Paolo Rivera is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 225 pieces and will retail for $50, while the Variant is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $75. This week Grey Matter Art honors the 30th Anniversary of Marvel’s popular ant-hero, Venom, with a beautiful fine art giclée by artist Paolo Rivera! Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD: The Art of Level 7 is a new print series from Marvel and ABC, which celebrates the explosive final six episodes of the show’s inaugural season! For 6 straight weeks Marvel will be releasing a new print by a different comic book artist that corresponds to that week’s episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. These 6 television posters will be limited to just 100 pieces, and offer fans clues to the future of everyone’s favorite SHIELD Agents.

The second Agents of SHIELD print is “Providence” by Paolo Rivera. Cast & Crew Exclusive Captain America: The Winter Soldier Movie Poster by Paolo Rivera

After designing the Cast and Crew Exclusive Captain America: The First Avenger Movie Poster back in 2011, its fitting that Marvel would ask comic book artist Paolo Rivera back to also design the cast and crew exclusive poster for Captain America 2! All of the cast and crew members who worked on Captain America: The Winter Soldier got a copy of this exclusive retro movie poster. I love that Paolo stuck with the retro theme of his original poster, but went with a slightly more modern take. This design gives off a more 1970s vibe, don’t you think!?! Boy would The Blot love to get my hands on a copy of this poster!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled to invade US theaters on April 4, 2014.

Captain America: The First Avenger Movie Poster by Paolo Rivera

Check out this awesome retro cast and crew exclusive one sheet movie poster for Captain America: The First Avenger! As Marvel.com explained, “the lucky cast and crew members who worked on Captain America: The First Avenger got a special treat for their work on the film, namely an exclusive poster created by Paolo Rivera, artist of Mythos: Captain America and and the upcoming Daredevil! Done in a retro 1940s style, Rivera captures Captain America in action in this dynamic composition.” Pretty cool huh!?! The Blot’s a little bummed this limited edition one sheet is not available to the public, but at least Marvel shared it with the world.

Captain America: The First Avenger is scheduled to invade theaters on Friday, July 22, 2011.
