“Can't Lose / Can't Gain” Painting Series by Pause Designs

This Thursday, October 23rd, artist Pause will be releasing a new series of paintings entitled “Can’t Lose / Can’t Gain.” These canvases continue Pause’s popular theme of animals with chainsaws, and The Blot can’t wait to see what he’s been working on! Above is a teaser of one of the pieces from the series, which features a raccoon with chainsaw arms. I love Pause’s unique style, and he really killed it with last year’s Chainsaw Panda resin figure. Yeti 8” Dunny by Pause Designs

The North American Yeti is real! From Canadian studio Pause Designs comes the Yeti Dunny, a mystical 8” vinyl enigma. Normally a peaceful, timid creature, the Great North American Yeti is seldom seen outside his cozy suburban home. However, when its territory is encroached upon the Yeti can become extremely protective and in some cases even violent. With gradiating fur plus fingers and toes, this is one Dunny design that’s almost too good to be true.

This crazy looking Yeti Dunny is actually based on a custom Dunny designed by Pause Studios for a collector a number of years ago. Pause always tries to find new ways to use the Dunny platform in its designs. As Pause explained to Kidrobot, “We try to have the Dunny shape not immediately recognizable, while still keeping all the elements of the original platform. We had never seen the Dunny shape flipped upside down before, and wanted to create a Dunny custom that would stick out in people’s minds.”

The Yeti Dunny by Pause Designs stands 8” tall and features 1 in 6 black chase figure. Collectors can try to capture the elusive Yeti starting today, Thursday, December 5th, at Kidrobot stores, kidrobot.com, and select retailers worldwide for $59.99.

Pobber Artist Series T-Shirt Collection feat Kronk, Doktor A, Gary Ham & Pause

Pobber has unveiled its very first Artist Series T-Shirt Collection featuring designs by Kronk, Doktor A, Gary Ham and Pause! All four designs are pretty awesome and you definitely won’t want to miss your opportunity to pre-order these limited edition tees. First up is the Hallween themed “A Mechtorian Halloween” t-shirt by Doktor A featuring one of Dok A’s steampunk Mechtorian creations. “The Day After You Die” Screen Print by Pause

Pause just released a pretty cool new screen print entitled “The Day After You Die.” While this not what The Blot was hoping to see the day after I die, I can’t stop studying the print’s striking image of a huge snail in a tree. Pause did a great job making sure all of the texture in his art really shines through his use of subtle color changes.

“The Day After You Die” by Pause is an 18”x24” 5 color screen print, which comes signed, numbered and embossed by the artist. The print has a limited edition run size of just 50 pieces and goes on sale this Thursday, April 11th, at Pause’s online store for $25 each.

Chainsaw Panda Resin Figure by Pause & Kevin Gosselin

The Chainsaw Panda, Pause’s signature character, has been brought to life as an epic 5.5” tall resin figure by Pause and Kevin Gosselin. Each figure was sculpted, cast in solid resin, and hand assembled by Kevin Gosselin, and then shipped to Eric Pause who hand painted and packaged them. The Blot’s always so excited when a character I’ve been following online for years is finally produced as a 3D toy. I can’t think of a time I haven’t seen Pause’s Chainsaw Panda on the KR message board, and I’m really happy to see it be produced as a completely original resin figure.

The Pause x Kevin Gosselin Chainsaw Panda features articulated chainsaw arms and comes packaged in a custom hand-made and decorated wooden crate. The crates also includes a removable padlock and metal chain, a laser-etched bamboo key chain, and individually signed and numbered printed cards. Each figure has a limited edition run size of 30 pieces, will retail for $250, and can be purchased at Pause Design’s online store on February 21st at 12pm EST.
