SDCC 2021 Exclusive The Great Showdowns Pulp Fiction Resin Figure Set by Scott C.

San Diego Comic-Con 2021 is virtual again this year and so is DKE Toys’ SDCC booth! DKE Toys will be releasing a ton of awesome SDCC 2021 exclusives again this year, including this awesome The Great Showdowns Pulp Fiction Resin Figure Set by Scott C. Each 3.75” resin figure was hand cast and hand painted. This signed and numbered The Great Showdowns set includes Samuel L. Jackson’s Jules Winnfield and Brett. It is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for $175.

The Great Showdowns are a series of paintings, art shows, and books depicting classic pop culture good guys and bad guys. This figure was sculpted by Dave Bondi who helped bring Scott C's characters to life.

The DKE Toys SDCC 2021 booth will be set up in the DKE warehouse July 23-25 and available to all via a live continuous Zoom webinar style meeting Friday 12pm-8pm PT, and Saturday and Sunday 10am-7pm PT. All convention releases will be available simultaneously in the DKE Toys online store.

Quentin Tarantino Neighborhood Prints “Jimmie’s House” & “Rick’s House” by George Townley x Bottleneck Gallery

Today, Bottleneck Gallery will be releasing the next two prints in George Townley’s neighborhood print series with some suburban scenery inspired by Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood!  As BNG explained, “George’s prints offer surprisingly calm renditions of two iconic houses and the cars involved in those scenes, inspired by Pulp Fiction and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. George’s prints showcase subtle and alternative points of inspiration from QT’s cult masterpieces, focusing on settings over characters.”

 

“Rick’s House” and “Jimmie’s House” by George Townley are 24”x18” hand numbered fine art giclee prints.  Each print is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $60 (or $115 as a set).  Both prints will go on sale at 12pm EDT on Wednesday, September 16^th, at BottleneckGallery.com.

MondoCon Exclusive Pulp Fiction Variant Screen Print by Laurent Durieux signed by Quentin Tarantino, Samuel L. Jackson & Tim Roth

Last November, in collaboration with Sundance Institute and the Sally Menke Fellowship, Mondo released a timed edition Pulp Fiction screen print by Laurent Durieux (originally seen here). For their release of the Variant Edition of this beautiful movie poster at MondoCon 2015 this weekend, Mondo has taken things to the next level. They’ve sent the entire run of variant prints to Quentin Tarantino to be signed by Quentin, Samuel L. Jackson and Tim Roth!!! The only sad part is that on their return back to Mondo in Austin these signed variant prints arrived slightly damaged. None of the damage affects the art and should frame out with no issue.

These epic variant Pulp Fiction prints will be sold exclusively at MondoCon 2015 at the Mondo booth. Limited to just 75 pieces, these Durieux prints will retail for $300 with 100% of the proceeds going to the Sally Menke Fellowship.

Black Friday Exclusive Pulp Fiction Screen Print by Laurent Durieux

Mondo has a ton of releases lined up for Black Friday 2014, but The Blot’s personal favorite is this killer Pulp Fiction screen print by Laurent Durieux! Produced in honor of the film’s 20th anniversary, this Pulp Fiction poster will be a timed release, meaning its run size will be set by the number of pieces ordered during window for ordering. The Pulp Fiction screen print will be available for pre-order beginning at a random time on Friday, November 28th, until 11:59pm on Monday, December 1st, at the Mondo online store. There is no limit on the number of prints you can purchase, and Mondo will be donating 10% of the proceeds to the Sally Menke Fellowship.

Later today Mondo will be releasing a new screen print based on the artwork Ken Taylor did for the Quentin Tarantino box set Tarantino XX that hits store shelves this week. The box set includes eight films chosen by Tarantino to illustrate the first 20 years of his career, including Reservoir Dogs, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol. 1, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Death Proof and Inglourious Basterds. What’s really cool about this Tarantino XX poster release is each print also includes a giclee of additional artwork Taylor designed for the box set. This 9”x37” giclee is a collage including images from all 8 movies in Tarantino XX.

Threadless - “Z-A” Pop Culture Themed T-Shirt

The minute I saw the new pop culture inspired t-shirt “Z-A” on Threadless my mind instantly thought of the similarly themed “It Would Have Been Cooler As A Van” tee. They’re not all that similar, but both designs utilize pop culture icons from television and the movies perfectly. “Z-A” features the alphabet in reverse and pairs each letter with a movie character whose name starts with that corresponding letter…can you name them all!?!

How can you not love a design that features such a huge variety of iconic characters such as Wayne from Wayne’s World, Gandalf from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Dude from The Big Lebowski, Yoda from Star Wars, Alex from A Clockwork Orange and Indiana Jones all on the same t-shirt!?! I’ve gotten most of the movie references in “Z-A” but a few still allude me. U, for instance, has me completely stumped.

Threadless - Quentin Tarantino Movie Themed T-Shirts

Threadless released two Quentin Tarantino inspired t-shirts this week in honor of Tarantino’s newest movie, Inglourious Basterds, debuting in theaters on Friday, August 21st. The t-shirts, one new and one reprinted, are based on two of Tarantino’s most popular films, Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction. The Kill Bill themed tee is entitled “Kill Bird” and its design does an amazing job of utilizing the black shirt it’s printed on. The Blot never thought yellow little birds were all that dangerous, but this tee has me rethinking that notion.

The second Quentin Tarantino movie themed t-shirt is a reprint of the Pulp Fiction inspired tee “Extra Pulp.” This shirt is so awesome, The Blot even ordered one just last night. Come on, who doesn’t want a shirt featuring fruit versions of John Travolta’s Vincent Vega and Samuel L. Jackson’s Jules Winnfield!?!

Threadless - Two New Pop Culture Themed T-Shirts

The Blot hasn’t spotlighted any new Threadless t-shirts in what feels like forever, but I couldn’t stay silent on these awesome pop culture themed designs. The first tee, “A Simple Plan,” came out this week and pays tribute to one of the greatest arcade games of all time, Space Invaders! The Blot is a sucker for all things related to classic arcade games, so you can be sure this shirt will be added to my closet sometime soon.

The second pop culture themed Threadless t-shirt I am excited to order is “Extra Pulp,” a hilarious tribute to Quentin Tarantino’s classic film Pulp Fiction. What’s not to love about a shirt that features John Travolta and Samuel L. Jackson’s Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield re-imagined as oranges striking their signature pose from the movie. “Extra Pulp” actually came out a few weeks ago, but I just hadn’t found the time to blog about it.
