Today, Bottleneck Gallery and artist Gabz gets red-pilled with this epic new The Matrix movie poster! As BNG explained, “After releasing in 1999, The Matrix quickly entered the zeitgeist and became a touchstone for heady, action-sci-fi films. The Wachowski’s third-eye-opening, mind-spoon-bending film redefined the action and sci-fi film genres, and Gabz’ print pays the ultimate homage to the legendary film. Using an incredibly creative Sentinel framing layout, Gabz’ print brings together so much of the iconic cast, including many unforgettable moments from the movie, all with a nice layer of Matrix code subtlety used throughout the piece.”

The Matrix by Gabz is a 36”x24” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is a timed edition that will go on sale at 12pm ET on Thursday, June 26th, at BottleneckGallery.com for $65. It will be available until 11:59pm ET on Sunday, June 29th. There is also a Chosen One Variant, which is limited to 300 pieces and will retail for $75, and a Red Pill Variant, which is limited to 150 pieces and will retail for $85.

But that’s not all! BNG is also releasing an Aluminum Print on a 2mm thick aluminum panel with archival pigment inks, which is limited to 50 pieces and will retail for $175. Last but certainly not least is the Multi-Layer Acrylic Print on 3 layers of acrylic panels with archival pigment inks. It is limited to just 35 pieces and will retail for $175.

Today, Bottleneck Gallery takes us back into the Matrix with a killer new alternative movie poster for the film by artist Pablo Olivera! Drawing from the wealth of lore and symbology from the mega-hit, Pablo’s print is a thrilling look back at the film’s imagery and themes. With each layer of the piece bringing us closer to the, Pablo’s print makes us yearn for 1999.”

The Matrix by Pablo Olivera is a 24”x36” hand numbered fine art giclee print. The Regular Edition is limited to 175 pieces and will retail for $60, the Rainbow Foil Variant is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $80, the Purple Variant is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $70, and the B&W Variant is limited to 30 pieces and will retail for $70.

There will also be a The Matrix Acrylic Panel Print on a 4mm thick acrylic panel with archival pigment that is limited to 30 pieces and will retail for $125 and two 3D Lenticular Prints with flip effect.  The 16”x24” version is on a 1m PET board, is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $80, while the 24”x36” version on a 4mm polystyrene board is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $200.  All seven colorways go on sale at 12pm ET on Tuesday, January 7th, at BottleneckGallery.com.

The Matrix Pop! Movies Vinyl Figures by Funko

Sadly, The Matrix doesn’t get near the love it should as the revolutionary film it is because of its terrible sequels. But the film is still wonderfully awesome. The Blot’s especially glad to see Mondo commission Kevin Tong to design a movie poster for The Matrix! His style is suited perfectly for this futuristic masterpiece.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The Matrix - A Trailer Mashup

I first heard about this fantastic video clip a few weeks ago, but finally sat down to watch it last night. It’s a mash-up of the audio from the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World trailer and video clips from The Matrix trilogy. I thought no way it could be that good. But then the buzz around the video kept building, so I finally caved in and watched it. I hate to admit it, but it really is that good! The video’s creators did a great job selecting scenes from The Matrix and, well, you already know how I much I love SPvsTW…but don’t take my word for it, check out the video below yourself!
