Well after three weeks of sub-par Sawyer-isms due mainly to the unexplainable disappearance of 85% of the show’s cast, including The Blot’s favorite character James “Sawyer” Ford, this weekly feature is coming to a swift and abrupt end. But fear not loyal The Blot Says… readers, because every end marks a new beginning! Thankfully CBS moved swiftly to restart their highly rated line-up of Monday night comedies, which can only mean one thing…the return of The Blot’s Barney-ism of the Week! Tonight was a true return to form for How I Met Your Mother and hopefully marks the show’s eventual renewal. So while I won’t be forcing lame Lost-isms on you anymore, be on the look out for some hilarious Barney-isms tomorrow. I promise it'll be legend, wait for it...

Another week, another Lost episode with no sign of Sawyer. Yes our favorite southern con-man did make an appearance in this week’s episode “The Other Woman,” but I don’t count showing up in the final 30 seconds only to be seen playing horseshoes with Hurley as an appearance. Maybe next week we’ll finally get the James Ford we all know and love back for a proper Sawyer-ism Of The Week. Until then enjoy this creepy line of the craziest man on the island, Benjamin Linus.

This now marks the second week in a row that the Sawyer-ism of the Week is a quote from a character other than Sawyer. But since “The Constant” was all Desmond all the time, Sawyer, like most of the cast of Lost, was M.I.A. this episode. There also weren’t any funny lines this week, so I decided to forgo quoting a line of dialogue and instead quoted a message found in Daniel Faraday’s journal which I thought was really fascinating and perhaps a sign of things to come. It only flashed on screen for a brief second at the very end of the show, but maybe it explains how Faraday knew what needed to be done to save Desmond’s life.

This week I had to change things up a little bit since all we got from Sawyer last night was a few Freckles comments and a really great con on Locke. So this week’s Sawyer-ism turned into a Hurley-ism, but we’ll stick with the name for consistency, at least for now. They do seem to consistently give Hurley some pretty good lines though, Sawyer better watch his back.
