B.A. Baracus Space Ranger Resin Figures by Killer Bootlegs

“Spectrum” Edition B.A. Baracus Space Ranger Resin Figure by Killer Bootlegs

Killer Bootlegs have made some awesome kitbashed bootleg resin figures over the past few years, but The Blot’s favorite so far is this awesome A-Team inspired B.A. Baracus Space Ranger! This Star Wars x Mr. T mash-up is seriously genius! I mean how has a Mr. T in Space TV show not been made yet!?! That would have made an awesome ‘80s cartoon! So far Killer Bootlegs has released three colorways of B.A. Baracus Space Ranger, including this beautiful rainbow “Spectrum” Edition, an all red translucent “Red Planet” Edition, and the blinged out “Run the Jewels” Edition.

“Red Planet” Edition & “Run the Jewels” Edition B.A. Baracus Space Ranger Resin Figures by Killer Bootlegs

Sadly the last two versions of B.A. Baracus Space Ranger are already sold out, but the “Spectrum” Edition (dyed and airbrushed with Monster Kolor paints and limited to just 10 pieces) is currently available for purchase at the Killer Bootlegs online store for $60. The Blot hasn’t been able to get my hands on one yet, but I hope to rectify that soon!!!

Threadless Mr. T T-Shirt “Gentleman T”

Threadless Mr. T T-Shirt “Gentleman T”.jpg

Gentleman T by Sean Anton

Growing up as a young child in the 80s, I still hold much of the pop culture from that decade close to my heart. And one of my all time personalities from the “Me Decade” is Mr. T! From The A-Team and Rocky III to his Mr. T cartoon series and lunch boxes, The Blot couldn’t get enough of the gold chained, Mohawk sporting actor. I pity the fool who didn’t love Mr. T back then..heck I pity the fool who doesn’t love Mr. T right now! Because of all that 80s nostalgia, how can you not love this Mr. T inspired t-shirt from Threadless featuring Mr. T drinking a spot of tea!?! I can't lie, I got pretty excited as soon as I saw the “Gentleman T” design!

The Mr. T t-shirt “Gentleman T” comes printed on a silver t-shirt and is currently available for purchase at Threadless.com for $20. The shirt comes in both guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

The A-Team: The Complete Series DVD Box Set with Van Packaging

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know The A-Team remake premiers in theaters today. While the film’s trailer looks awesome, the film’s reviews have middle of the road at best. For instance, The A-Team currently has a score of 47% (and dropping) on Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomatometer. This is no surprise to The Blot, I’ve been expecting the worst from this movie from the very beginning! Instead of shilling out way too much money to watch this pathetic remake in theaters, I recommend checking out the limited edition The A-Team: The Complete Series DVD box set!

The A-Team: The Complete Series Limited Edition DVD Box Set
All you really need to know about The A-Team: The Complete Series limited edition box set is it comes in the freaking A-Team’s red and black van! How cool is that!?! While I’m not too sure about the extras included in the set, I do know it includes all 5 seasons and 98 episodes on 25 discs. Plus, this version actually stars ‘80s icon Mr. T. Can the movie version of The A-Team claim that?

The A-Team: The Complete Series DVD box set normally retails for $149.98, but can currently be purchased from Amazon.com for just $89.99 here.

The A-Team Motion Picture First Look Pt. 2

Sadly, here is the “official” first look at the cast of the upcoming big screen remake of the beloved 80’s television show The A-Team. Looking at the photo below really saddens The Blot, because I have absolutely no faith in this film. Hasn’t the movie industry learned by now to stop pillaging our childhood? How many television properties from the 70s, 80s and 90s have they ruined!?! While the photoshopping of the film’s official cast photograph is horrible, at least 20th Century Fox did a good job casting and dressing this new and (doubtfully) improved A-Team.

The A-Team Motion Picture Official Cast Photo
(click on the photo above for a more detailed look)

The A-Team stars Liam Neeson as “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, Sharlto Copley as Capt. "Howling Mad" Murdock and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson stars as Sgt. "B.A." Baracus. The A-Team, which is set to premiere on June 11, 2010, is directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Ridley and Tony Scott.

The A-Team Motion Picture First Look

There are very few shows from the 80’s The Blot loves as much as The A-Team, which is why I am so horrified that the long rumored movie remake is finally happening. Has a movie based on television show ever worked and/or been successful? Off the top of my head I’d say an emphatic no, which is why I have some seriously grave misgivings about 20th Century Fox’s decision to go forward with this film. The A-Team's only saving grace is that it stars Liam Neeson as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith. Neeson is a true professional and one of the best actors working today, so at least he brings a little credibility to this ill advised re-imagining.

The A-Team Motion Picture First Look - Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson as Sgt. ‘B.A.’ Baracus, Liam Neeson as Col. John ‘Hannibal’ Smith, Sharlto Copley as Capt. ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock & Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck
The photo above is courtesy of ComingSoon.net and is the first image of the all new, all different A-Team. (link) The movie stars Liam Neeson as “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck, Sharlto Copley as Capt. "Howling Mad" Murdock and Quinton "Rampage" Jackson stars as Sgt. "B.A." Baracus (the role that made Mr. T a household name). The film is also rumored to star Jessica Biel as an Army general pursuing the team (and one of Face’s ex-lovers) and Patrick Wilson as a CIA operative. The A-Team is being directed by Joe Carnahan and produced by Ridley and Tony Scott.

The A-Team is currently scheduled to debut in theaters on June 11, 2010. I can’t wait to see if 20th Century Fox sticks with this date or pushes the film back due to its mediocrity.
