The Villain X Shirts T-Shirt Collection

Let’s be honest, while the heroes may be more popular, we all know it’s the villains that have all the fun! The Blot was recently introduced to a pretty cool indie clothing brand named Villain X Shirts, which makes awesome tees devoted to the villains of pop culture. What’s cool about this brand is they touch upon every conceivable area of pop culture, including horror movies, comic books, cartoons, video games and sci-fi televisions shows. Each despicable villain has been recreated in VXS’ signature style, which includes having their eyes whited out and an “X” added to their foreheads. What does this mean? Nothing! Everything! It is art, so it’s completely up to you.

Villain X Shirts recently dropped their second new design of 2015 “The Goblin King”, which pays homage to David Bowie’s Jareth the Goblin King from the iconic 1986 fantasy film Labyrinth! Little did The Blot know that last October when Dark Ink Art and Acme Archives Direct released Dave Perillo’s Frozen screen print “Greetings from Arendelle” they were really kicking off a brand new Disney Screen Print Series! For the series’ second release, Perillo has designed this super fun movie poster for the iconic 1989 animated film The Little Mermaid. “Greetings from Under the Sea” features The Little Mermaid's entire beloved cast (even the evil Ursula) and boy do its colors pop! I love the idea behind this “Greetings From…” Series, and can’t wait to see what classic animated film Perillo gets to design for next.

The Little Mermaid by Tom Whalen is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 365 pieces and will retail for $45, while the Variant has a limited edition run size of 165 pieces and will retail for $70. First Look: Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures Series 3 by Funko

Take a good, hard look at Funko’s upcoming third wave of Pop! Disney Store vinyl figures, and tell me you’re not as impressed as The Blot is by how this toy line continues to evolve. Funko has done an amazing job giving each Pop! figure it’s own look and detailed sculpt. From Elastigirl’s tall, slender body to Ariel and Ursual’s undersea appearances, each figure in Pop! Disney Store Wave 3 looks so awesome! I am especially excited about the inclusion of Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat in this 12 figure set, which includes both classic Disney characters and new Pixar favorites.
