Dave Perillo’s NYCC 2024 Exclusive Prints!

Dave Perillo will be set up all weekend long at New York Comic Con 2024 with fellow artist Ian Glaubinger at their NYCC booth #1770.  Dave’s brought some fantastic exclusives with him this year at the Javits Center in NYC. First up is killer Halloween horror movie inspired screen print “Fright Fight!” This NYCC 2024 Exclusive is a 12”x12” hand numbered 7 color screen print. Who do you think would win in this ghoulish battle royale?

Then there is the McDonald’s inspired “Village Nuggest”! Don’t these Chicken McNuggets look adorable!?!  It is a set of six 4”x4” screen prints, each featuring a different Chicken McNugget character.

Then there’s this awesome Halloween two color screen print. As Perillo explained, it is “Based on one of my favorites Halloween III: Season of the Witch.” This print is a 12”x12” hand numbered 2 color screen print on French Speckletone paper to give it that extra vintage vibe. Limited to just 31 pieces, it will retail for $31 (with a one dollar NYCC discount, so $30 at the show).

Last week, Mondo released a new The Texas Chain Saw Massacre movie poster by artist Eric Powell! Today, Mondo will be releasing this grotesque and gorgeous movie poster for The Texas Chain Saw Massacre by artist Rockin’ Jelly Bean! As Mondo explained, “we were terrified of what horrors became of Sally, her brother Franklin, and their intimate group of friends just up the highway from the small Texas town we grew up in. NYCC 2021 Exclusive Slashers 4”x4” Screen Print Set by Tom Whalen

Tom Whalen will not be at New York Comic Con 2021 this year, but you’ll still be able to find some of his amazing art there! Tomorrow Grey Matter Art will be releasing the fourth and final movie poster in their fantastic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Screen Print Series, which commemorates the horror film’s 40th anniversary! The series will feature designs by a venerable who’s who of screen print artists, like Florian Bertmer, Jason Edmiston and Grzegorz Domaradzki. This week’s movie poster is by acclaimed comic book artist Francesco Francavilla! The Blot is a huge fan of Francesco’s noir art style, and I love his classic take on the film with this design. This piece is just so gritty looking, especially the variant edition, with the blood spatter with the darker yellow tones to it.

This Thursday Grey Matter Art will be releasing the next movie poster in their epic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Screen Print Series, which commemorates the horror film’s 40th anniversary. The series will feature designs by a venerable who’s who of screen print artists, like Florian Bertmer, Jason Edmiston and Francesco Francavilla. This week’s movie poster is by artist Grzegorz Domaradzki, which is his sixth project collaboration with GMA!

The Blot really loves Gabz’ use of typography in this design! As Grzegorz explained, “Since viewers of this classic horror flick are meant to believe it's based on a true story, custom-designed typo that looks like a front page of some crazy newspaper seemed like a right thing to do. Instead of focusing on just one scene or character, I included several plot points and all the essential characters destined (or not) to end up on Sawyer's dining table."

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre by Grzegorz Domaradzki is a 24”x36” screen print. Funko recently announced that its next Pop! Movies vinyl figure would be Leatherface, the star of the cult classic horror movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre!
