X-Men “Femme Fatale” Marvel Screen Prints by Rhys Cooper

X-Men “Femme Fatale” Marvel Screen Prints by Rhys Cooper - Standard & Variant Rogue “Anna Marie” Screen Print

Australian based screenprint artist Rhys Cooper’s solo art show “Femme Fatale” debuted last weekend at the Spoke Art Gallery, and it looks seriously fantastic! Rhys embarked on a portrait series of influential women from the world of popular culture, from childhood stories to comic books. While it was nearly impossible for The Blot to choose my favorite posters from Cooper’s show, I had to highlight these awesome X-Men “Femme Fatale” Marvel screen prints featuring Rogue and her evil adopted mother Mystique! Aren’t these images stunning!?!

X-Men “Femme Fatale” Marvel Screen Prints by Rhys Cooper - Standard & Variant Mystique “Raven” Screen Print

Packed with immense detail and vibrant punchy colors, Rhys Cooper’s Femme Fatale series of screen prints are mostly confined to Rhys’s signature narrow format, which transforms these portraits into war-like banners (especially considering their aggressive aesthetic).

The Rogue screen print “Anna Marie” and the Mystique screen print “Raven” each measure 12”x36”, have limited edition run sizes of 125 pieces and retail for $40 each. Both designs also have rarer variants, which have limited edition run sizes of 60 pieces and retail for $60 each. You can purchase all four prints seen here (and see the Rhys Cooper’s entire “Femme Fatale” show) now at the Spoke Art online store.

Super7 the 13th Anniversary Lucky Bags

Super7 the 13th Anniversary Lucky Bags

Next Friday, June 13th, is Super7’s annual birthday celebration, which can only mean one thing…Lucky Bags!!! In honor of S7’s 13th anniversary celebration falling on Friday the 13th, Super7 is going with a Friday the 13th theme. Although, what that really means for the mystery figures in this year’s Lucky Bags is anyone’s guess. This year’s bags will include secret figures, special handpaints and some super secret surprises! Even better still, no two bags will be the same.

For their 13th Anniversary Super7 is offering two sizes of Lucky Bags, something they haven’t done since their 8th Anniversary back in 2009. This is great for collectors like The Blot who buy on a budget, because now there’s a lowered priced LB option! It’s really amazing how expensive lucky bags have gotten across the industry.

Super7 the 13th Anniversary Party & Skullbrain Reunion

Super7’s “Large Bag” 13th Anniversary Lucky Bag will include 6 figures (2 large figures, a mystery figure, two small figures and a Fight figure) and retail for $250, while the “Small Bag” will include 3 figures (1 large figure, one mystery figure and one small figure). Both figures go on sale at noon PDT Friday the 13th in June at the Super7 online store. That evening Super7 will hold their annual S7 Anniversary Party in conjunction with a very special Skullbrain reunion (more details to come).

To celebrate Ghostbusters’ 30th Anniversary, Nathan Hamill and 3DRetro are releasing the Octospud Edition Octopup vinyl figure! The newest colorway of this adorable 2” sofubi figure is a tribute to Slimer, the gluttonous green ghost that roamed the halls of the Sedgewick Hotel's 12th floor and was the first ghost captured by the real Ghostbusters. The only thing cooler than this Ghostbusters inspired figure is if it came with real ectoplasm slime!

Terminator 2 Screen Print by Tom Whalen

Terminator 2: Judgment Day Screen Print by Tom Whalen

At a random time today, June 2nd, Mondo will be releasing this awesome Terminator 2: Judgment Day screen print by Tom Whalen! Originally released as part of Frightmare 2014, this poster pretty much sums up the badassery that is James Cameron’s 1991 classic, T2.  It's just too bad all of the subsequent Terminator films haven't been this good.

“Terminator 2: Judgment Day” by Tom Whalen is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. It has a limited edition run size of 425 pieces and will retail for $50 exclusively at the Mondo online store.

MCA x Freshism Evil Design T-Shirt Collection - Mean Ol Evil Ape

Freshism recently dropped three awesome new Evil Design t-shirts by MCA! The Blot can never get enough of MCA’s signature creation, the Evil Ape, and the “Mean Ol Evil Ape” tee is pretty boss! There’s also the “Mighty Ape Paw of Metal” design featuring, well, Evil Ape’s hand rocking out to some heavy metal music, and the multi-colored “Will Kill” t-shirt. Make sure you add one of these Evil Design t-shirts to your closet for the next time you want to get in touch with your inner ape!

MCA x Freshism Evil Design T-Shirt Collection - Mighty Ape Paw of Metal

The MCA x Freshism Evil Design T-Shirt Collection is currently available for purchase at the Freshism online store starting at just $28. The Big Lebowski T-Shirt Collection by Threadless

The Big Lebowski T-Shirt Collection by Threadless

Although The Blot is a huge fan of The Big Lebowski, I was shocked Threadless held a design challenge inspired by the film. It’s not often that a movie released way back in 1998 gets its own challenge on the community driven t-shirt company’s website. Not only that, but Threadless released an entire The Big Lebowski T-Shirt Collection instead of just the challenge’s winning design. This just goes to show you how ingrained The Big Lebowski is to popular culture even today!

The Big Lebowski T-Shirt Collection features the six designs seen here and comes printed on a variety of different colored t-shirts. All six t-shirts are currently available for purchase from Threadless.com for $25 each, in guys and girls styles, sizes S-2XL.

The Simpsons x Johnny Cupcakes T-Shirt Collection

The Simpsons x Johnny Cupcakes T-Shirt Collection

Yesterday, Johnny Cupcakes released its hotly anticipated collaboration with The Simpsons! This is without a doubt Johnny’s most ambitious release ever. Not only did they release six really fun t-shirts featuring the wacky cast of characters from Television’s longest running show, but they produced three epic box sets that include accessories like a bowtie, watch, sunglasses, socks and a wallet. To be honest, I can’t believe all the different designs in The Simpsons x Johnny Cupcakes Collection. And by how quickly everything sold out on Saturday it seems to have been a huge hit with Simpsons and JC fans alike!

The Simpsons x Johnny Cupcakes Collection Snapback and Stickers

The Blot especially loves the Big Kid Nelson t-shirt, which features Johnny Cupcakes’ mascot dressed up like the series’ bully Nelson Muntz. I love when b-list characters like Nelson get a little love. It’s just too bad the Big Kid Homer sticker design wasn’t also produced as a t-shirt. That sticker is seriously awesome! Unfortunately, most of The Simpsons x Johnny Cupcakes Collection seen here is now sold out – those box sets went fast! But a small supply of t-shirts, stickers and the snapback are still available at the Johnny Cupcakes online store. Eat my shorts dude!
