Apalala & Jizo-Anacho Be Mine Edition Vinyl Figures by Devils Head Productions

Love is in the air! Valentine's Day is tomorrow and to celebrate the most romantic day of the year, Devils Head Productions is dropping a pair of new releases cast in electric pink soft Japanese vinyl. First up is the “Be Mine” Unpainted Pink Apalala ($130) is DHP’s first official online drop for this new figure. Show that special someone in your life that you care by giving the gift of monstrous affection or do some self-love and grab one for yourself.

Then there’s the “Be Mine” Unpainted Pink Jiz0-Anarcho ($30), which is a great companion piece for the previously released unpainted pink Alavaka Bodhisattva and “Be Mine” Apalala. Both figures will go on sale early in the morning on Tuesday, February 14th, at the Devils Head Productions online store. There will also be a micro run of uncut and unassembled “billiken kit style” electric pink Jizo-Anarcho and Apalala figures available online at the same time the standard release happens.

Cocaine Screen Print by Timothy Pittides x Grey Matter Art

Timothy Pittides continues his fantastic Vices screen print series with the stunning “Cocaine”! Produced by Grey Matter Art, this is the second poster in Pittides newest triptych, which also features “Opium” (seen here) and another future release. This is the 9th screen print in the series, which is based on the propaganda films from the early 20th century.

Cocaine by Timothy Pittides is an 18”x24” hand numbered 5 color screen print with metallic ink. The Regular Edition is limited to 70 pieces and will retail for $35, while the Variant is limited to just 35 pieces and will retail for $45. Both versions go on sale at 1pm EST this Wednesday, February 15th, at the Grey Matter Art online store.

“Urgent Need” Screen Print by NC Winters

NC Winters has unveiled his second screen print, “Urgent Need”, and it is gorgeous! What’s awesome about this poster is the message behind it. As NC explains, “Since the recent presidential election, I've struggled with finding the best way to express myself regarding the heightened sense of hostile rhetoric in our current political and social climate. I had originally planned a new print in response, based around some darker, angrier imagery. I was hoping to voice my frustration through art, something I don't always do, as I try to keep political views out of my works for the general public. This was the time however, to make my voice heard.”

“Very quickly though, I realized the best way I could contribute to the conversation, and the best way to keep my head free from constant anger and resentment was to focus on compassion and inclusion. So I scrapped some of the original designs and instead focused on a new message of hope and compassion. The result is “Urgent Need” which combines imagery of rebirth in the allegory of the Phoenix, combined with unique imagery with an emphasis on compassion for the beauty of ALL life, however different from one's own.”

“As part of this special release, I'm proud to be donating 20% of all profits of the sale directly to the ACLU. While I wish it could be a greater percentage, this is an experiment to see if this print and message will find resonance with buyers who are of like mind. If the sale does well, I plan on future prints with a similar theme where I can hopefully donate a much larger percentage to the ACLU and other important organizations. Together, hopefully we can all work together to make a difference through art.”

“Urgent Need” by NC Winters is a 16”x20” signed and numbered 5 color screen print on Madero Beach speckletone 100# cover stock. Limited to just 300 pieces, it will go on sale at a random time this Wednesday, February 15th, at the NC Winters online store for just $40. As NC announced above, 20% of all profits from the sales of this print will be donated to the ACLU.
