Solo: A Star Wars Story Character Movie Poster Set

Lucasfilm and Disney has released here in the US their largest and most comprehensive set of Solo: A Star Wars Story character movie posters. The Blot’s especially excited that we finally get a one sheet character movie poster set that includes more than just the film’s 4-5 main stars. Along with posters for Han, Chewie, Lando and Qi’ra (with the occasional poster for Beckett mixed in), we’ve also got our first posters featuring Dryden Vos, Val, L3-37 and man more! Solo: A Star Wars Story was directed by Ron Howard and is set to open at theaters across the United States on Friday, May 25, 2018. Thor: Ragnarok “I Want You!” Screen Print by Raid71 x Bottleneck Gallery x Grey Matter Art

Later today, Bottleneck Gallery will be releasing this super fun Thor: Ragnarok screen print by Raid71 featuring the break out star of the film – well maybe the second breakout star of the film – or is it the third breakout star from the film (after Valkyrie and Doug)? – Korg! For this release BNG has teamed up with Grey Matter Art to release Raid71’s Korg flyer “I Want You!” as an officially licensed screen print. The Blot really loved Raid’s flyer when he first shared this fan art it on Instagram, and it’s really exciting to learn it’s now being released as an movie tie-in.

Batman: Black & White Bat-Manga Statue by Jiro Kuwata x DC Collectibles

DC Collectibles has announced the next piece in its popular ongoing Batman: Black and White statue line, and it’s by acclaimed manga artist Jiro Kuwata! While Kuwata is best known for his super hero manga 8 Man, comic book fans know him as the creator of the beloved Bat-Manga in the late ‘60s. The Blot absolutely loves how DC Collectibles incorporated classic manga-style shading onto this Batman: Black and White Bat-Manga Statue. It’s little details like that, which make this a must get for any DC Comics or manga fan! The piece also features a stylized cape and an arsenal of gadgets based on Kuwata’s designs.

Defective Comics #3 & #4 Batman Screen Prints by Daniel Danger

Way back in 2012, Daniel Danger and Olly Moss released two humorous Batman screen prints at San Diego Comic Con featuring Batman standing ominously on a Pizza Hut and a Jiffy Lube (originally seen here). They named these ridiculous posters “Defective Comics”. Fast forward six years later, and Daniel Danger is revisiting this concept with two new Defective Comics prints! This time DC Comics’ Dark Knight can be seen standing on two important retail chains that are now fading away into pop culture history, Toys R Us and Blockbuster! How great are these new designs!?!

As Daniel Danger explained, “Some number of years ago Olly Moss and myself thought it would be funny to draw Batman standing on unimpressive buildings. We released some goofy mini prints at SDCC of the bat on a jiffy lube and a pizza hut. I drew this solo around that time but never did anything with it, but in the wake of Toys R Us closing I figured I should release it as a fun cheap print for fun and sadness times.”

Each Defective Comics screen print measures 18”x24”, comes signed and numbered by the artist, and retails for $30 at the Daniel Danger online store.
