Next week at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Munky King will be releasing a new glossy version of Luke Chueh’s Ghostbear and Ghostbear XL! With this release Luke really puts the shine on the classic and XL versions of his iconic white Ghostbear. The Glossed Over Ghostbear stands 2.5” tall, while the Glossed Over Ghostbear XL is a whopping 5” tall. These Comic-Con exclusive vinyl figures will be sold as a set and will be available or purchase by collectors at the Disburst SDCC booth #2549/2649. To commemorate this release, Luke will be signing at the Disburst Booth on Friday, July 22nd.
Based on the character Luke created for a four panel web comic, Ghostbear explores themes of life, death, and lactose (and alcohol) intolerance. As Luke Chueh explained, “I wish I had more rationale for Ghostbear, but he’s easy to draw and I’m kinda lazy.”
