Les Viandardes Vinyl Figure by McBess

Following the release of the Kidrobot x McBess Apparel Collection comes McBess’ epic Les Viandardes vinyl figure! McBess’ detailed illustrations are cleverly blended with the cartoon styling of the early 20th century and often feature food and musical references, such as slick guitars, drums, amps, and other instruments. While The Blot doesn’t know much about the Les Viandardes designer art toy, these axe welding, tattoo sporting femme fatales look bad ass! This is definitely a new kind of vinyl figure from Kidrobot and a welcomed change to be sure! I just hope for the price ($199.99) this is at least an 8" figure. Look for McBess’ Les Viandardes to go on sale next Thursday, October 31st, at Kidrobot.com and all Kidrobot retail locations.

Kidrobot has teamed up with artist French artist McBess (Mathieu Bessudo) to release a pretty awesome McBess Apparel Capsule, which includes t-shirts, jackets, a button down long sleeve shirt and snapback hats. From the Pirate Bomber to the statement rock and roll tees, each piece is pure McBess! Of course The Blot is especially jazzed over the three McBess tees, including the killer ‘Bot tee in McBess’ signature style and the Les Viandardes tee featuring his murderous femme fatales.

Dunny Evolved Series by Kidrobot

Dunny is, was, and always will be. Later this week Kidrobot will be releasing its newest blind box Dunny Series with an interesting twist. The Dunny Evolved Series includes just five artists, with each artist designing three Dunnys. Each artist’s three figures feature the three stages of its design’s evolution. I love the concept behind this new series and its line-up of artists is pretty freaking solid.  I just wish it had more artists and designs in it. Feels like a really small Dunny series to collect. Here’s hoping there are some mystery chase variants mixed in.

Le Dead Plastique 20” Dunny by McBess

Melding the passions of French artist McBess, Le Dead Plastique is a black and white punch in the face! The 20” rock’n’roll incarnate is tatted up with a mesh of music, marauders, and meat paying special homage to dead pirates and pretzels. For this release McBess wanted to make an extension of his illustrations, so as you can see it’s a simple black and white rock and roll character with big bold text on him. The figure looks really cool, but the marketing of it is beyond confusing. From the photo above it looks like the 20” Le Dead Plastique also includes a 3” Dunny, but there’s no mention of it. Rumor is they’ll be sold separately, but The Blot’s seen no confirmation of this from Kidrobot.
