Four New Dunny T-Shirts by Kidrobot!

Over the past few weeks Kidrobot has been releasing some awesome new Dunny t-shirt designs. Personally, The Blot is really excited to see KR get back into clothing and apparel with these limited edition t-shirts based on their iconic designer vinyl figure platform. First up is the Rorschach Dunny t-shirt, which features a killer ink blot inspired design of Dunnys inside a Dunny. Then there’s the Emerging Dunny tee that’s clearly inspired by Joy Division’s iconic album cover to 1979’s Unknown Pleasures. The Rainbow Dunny shirt is a colorful take on the beloved platform, while the Chess Series Dunny t-shirt by Otto Bjornik features the King from Otto’s popular Shah Mat Chess Dunny Series!

All four Dunny t-shirts seen here are currently available at Kidrobot.com in men’s and women’s styles, sizes S-XXL, for $24.99 each.

Shah Mat Dunny Chess Series by Otto Bjornik x Kidrobot

Otto Bjornik's Shah Mat Dunny Chess Series is the first collection of its kind, and what an amazing concept it is! This new blind box Dunny series from Kidrobot can be collected to become a full, playable chess set. The Dunny figures in this series are designed as a king, queen, rook, bishop, knight or pawn. The series can be purchased in individual 2 packs, which includes 1 pawn Dunny and 1 mystery royalty Dunny, or as a full chess set. Each two-pack Dunny set comes with four pieces of the chess board. Alternatively, purchasing a complete chess set guarantees an entire playable board and pieces. Each complete set comes with a certificate of authenticity signed and numbered by Otto Bjornik.

NYCC Exclusive Bai Chi Ah-Sul Resin Figure by Otto Björnik

Once again myplasticheart will be showcasing the elite talents of Filipino artist and customizer Otto Björnik at their New York Comic Con booth! This year MPH will be releasing a NYCC 2015 exclusive run of Otto’s Bai Chi resin figure. Based on the classic Chinese vampires, the New York Comic Con 2015 Exclusive Bai Chi Ah-Sul resin figure has reached true enlightenment after spending days lost in the Pacific. This Blue Ah-Sul Edition Bai Chi is tranquil and zen…that is when he’s not consumed by the need to drink blood.

The New York Comic Con 2015 Exclusive Bai Chi Ah-Sul Resin Figure by Otto Björnik features a neodymium magnet that pulls him towards your refrigerator (an indignity Bai Chu will probably never forgive you for). His magnetic restraining talisman with the words “I Hunger” written in beautiful Chinese calligraphy and is removable. Check out these awesome Designer Con 2014 Exclusive Stroll Custom Dunny Resin Figures by Otto Bjornik, based on Spanky Stokes’ adorable monster mascot! If The Blot didn’t know better I’d say these were production pieces. Speaking of which, where is our Toy Bloggers Dunny Series KR!?! Otto’s Stroll Dunny is limited to just 13 pieces, stands 2.5” tall and can be purchased this weekend from Spanky Stokes’ DCon booth #518 for $60 each.

Mayari 3” Dunny by Otto Björnik

Back in the day it was always Kidrobot’s 8” Dunnys that really pushed the boundaries of the platform. But these days KR’s best Dunny releases have been coming from their individually released 3” production Dunnys. Just check out the beautiful Mayari Dunny by Otto Bjornik! A beautiful deity, Mayari is both character and myth. Wearing a crown and royal ruff, this 3” lunar queen comes to life with a fine line style that mimics artist Otto Bjornik’s intricate pen and ink drawings.

Otto Björnik is as much a storyteller as an artist, mixing childhood memories and fairy tales within his intricately illustrated work. An architect by training, he works mostly in the fine and delicate world of pen and ink, though also forays into painting and customizing, creating beautifully detailed figures with complex personalities.

The Mayari 3” Dunny by Otto Björnik will come in two limited edition colorways, both released on Thursday, March 27th for $14.99 each. The Mayari Black will be sold exclusively at select retailers worldwide, while the Mayari Red will be sold exclusively at Kidrobot stores and kidrobot.com.
