8 Ball Machinegun Ghost Vinyl Figure by Paul Kaiju

This weekend, Paul Kaiju will be releasing a new micro run of 8 Ball Machinegun Ghost vinyl figures!  Cast in purple soft Japanese vinyl, the 8 Ball Machinegun Ghost will be available as a Painted Edition ($400) or a Blank Edition ($160).  The Painted Edition features a movable 8 Ball eye, and both versions include a matching Balloon Dog mini.

To purchase this new 8 Ball Machinegun Ghost, complete the online form that will be available on PaulKaiju.com this Saturday, June 12th, at noon PDT. They will be sold via a lottery that is open for 3 hour and registration will end at 3pm PT. Photochromic Mockbat Vinyl Figure by Paul Kaiju

This weekend, Paul Kaiju will be releasing this killer Photochromic Mockbat Vinyl Figure! This rad release was cast in soft Japanese vinyl that changes from translucent milky to purple when exposed to UV rays. How cool is that!?!  The Photochromic Mockbat stands 8″ tall, features 7 points of articulation, and includes a Hellmock Mini figure and alternate belly parts that can be changed with applied heat.  It goes on sale at 12pm PT this Saturday, June 12th, at PaulKaiju.com for $120.

SDCC 2020 Exclusive Baby Draco Vinyl Figures by Paul Kaiju

San Diego Comic-Con 2020 may be canceled, but that doesn’t mean the Summer Slime art show has been! The annual sofubi show by artists Paul Kaiju, Bwanna Spoons and Rampage Toys that typically takes place the Saturday night of Comic-Con has now been moved online. This year as part of San Diego Comic-Con / Summer Slime, Paul is debuting his newest soft vinyl figure – Baby Draco!

For its first colorway, Baby Draco has been in cast in Spicy Cod Roe “Mentiako” colored soft Japanese vinyl with slight blue glitter. This 7” tall figure with 8 points of articulation will be available in an unpainted Blank Edition ($160) and a Painted Metallic Edition ($210). Each figure also comes with Asbestora alternate parts that can be changed with heat.

But that’s not all! PK is also release a micro run of the Draco Jackelope sofubi! This figure is limited to just 4 hand painted figures and will retail for $350.

Gyochō Devilgappa Vinyl Figure by Paul Kaiju

Check out the newest creation from Paul Kaiju, the Gyochō Devilgappa! Gyochō is a fish/bird amphibious type creature that once ruled the land, water, and sky of primordial Earth long before the eve of man. The last of his kind, Gyochō finds his soul locked on Purgatory island with nothing better to do than play the perpetual antagonist to the Gobo Gang, and eat lots and lots of junk food.

The Gyochō Devilgappa stands 9” tall, features 9 points of articulation, and is cast in green soft Japanese vinyl with metallic sprays. This wonderous new figure will be sold by raffle on Sunday, February 17th, at the Paul Kaiju website for $250. Collectors can enter the raffle between 8am and 8pm PST on the 17th. The Blot was really excited to learn that the new Designer Con 2016 Exclusive Salamander SMD5 vinyl figure was a collaboration between Jeff Lamm and Paul Kaiju! Besides featuring a sick colorway of metallic silver, green and pink, Lamm’s Designer Con exclusive MD5 features Paul Kaiju’s Salamander Joe underneath its robot helmet. What a cool idea for a collab! Produced by Unbox Industries, fans can purchase this sick new figure this Saturday at 12:30pm PST at Unbox’ DCon booth when Jeff will be at the booth signing for fans. This weekend at Designer Con 2015, Unbox Industries will be debuting the new Mini Mockbat vinyl figure by Paul Kaiju! Last night, Saturday, August 8th, Paul Kaiju took over the Mishka LA Flagship Store for a very special one night only pop-up shop! For this exciting event, Paul brought with him a very limited amount of one of a kind custom vinyl figures sold via a lottery, which had fans lining the street in anticipation of the event. To commemorate the Paul Kaiju pop-up shop, Mishka has released this limited edition “Mockbat” t-shirt. Its design is an awesome mash-up of Paul’s popular Mockbat character with Mishka’s Keep Watch eyeball as his stomach flower.

The Sludge Kraken Vinyl Figure by Paul Kaiju x Mutant Vinyl Hardcore

SDCC 13 Exclusive Ultrus Minor & Gangleas Man Vinyl Figures by Skinner

The Super Suck Up! Custom Sucklord Figures

One of the coolest parts of attending Designer Con 2012 was getting to see all 16 custom figures in DKE Toys’ “The Super Suck Up!” group art show. For this show each artist created a custom Sucklord figure with a limited edition run size of 50 pieces. Each figure was better than the next, and they all featured a hilarious blister card artwork by The Super Sucklord. Check them all out and just try to pick out a favorite! Every artist definitely brought their A game for this one!!!

“The Super Suck Up” features works by Billions McMillions, Buff Monster, DrilOne, Doktor A., Ferg, Frank Kozik, Jason Freeny, L’Amour Supreme, Luke Chueh, Matt Doughty/Onell Design, October Toys, Paul Kaiju, Scott Tolleson, Scott Wilkowski, Skinner, and the Sucklord.

Each figure retailed for $100. The Blot hasn’t heard if any of these figures are still available, but I know some designs definitely sold out at DCon. If I find out about any remaining figures I will definitely post that information here.

DCon 12 Exclusive GID Luftkaiser Vinyl Figure by Paul Kaiju

For Designer Con 2012, Paul Kaiju has teamed up with TAG to release a mini vinyl figure of his popular Kaiser character. The DCon 2012 Exclusive Luftkaiser vinyl figure stands 4” tall, comes made from soft glow in the dark Japanese vinyl and will be painted in a similar color scheme as the figures seen above. While details of this exciting new figure’s release are not known yet, you can pick one up in two weeks at either Paul Kaiju's DCon booth #109 or Toy Art Gallery's Dcon booth #400.

TAG Exclusive Black Edition Pollen Kaiser by Paul Kaiju

Toy Art Gallery is not messing around with its first production collaboration with Paul Kaiju! The Black Edition Pollen Kaiser features a sick color scheme of metallic gold and blue sprays over black vinyl with red and yellow highlights, which really shows off some of Pau’s signature painting techniques. The vinyl version of Paul’s popular Pollen Kaiser figure stands over 10” tall, features five points of articulation (at the shoulders, waist and arms), a red doll eye, and includes a 3 piece, 12” tall staff accessory. Collectors can pick up this beautiful vinyl figure this Wednesday, September 26th, at 12pm PST through the TAG online store and in store at TAG’s retail showroom.

The Super Suck Up! Group Art Show at Designer Con 2012

DKE Toys and Suckadelic are teaming up to present “The Super Suck Up,” a group art show at Designer Con 2012 featuring 50 piece customized Sucklord figure editions by Billions McMillions, Buff Monster, DrilOne, Doktor A., Ferg, Frank Kozik, Jason Freeny, L’Amour Supreme, Luke Chueh, Matt Doughty/Onell Design, October Toys, Paul Kaiju, Scott Tolleson, Scott Wilkowski, Skinner, and The Sucklord himself. Does this sound like a freaking amazing show or what!?! The Blot’s never attended DCon before, but this might just be enough to me to plan a trip out west.

DKE Toys asked each artist to customize, mash-up or paint an edition of 50 Sucklord bootleg resin figures. Each 3.75” figure will come packaged in a blistercard designed by Sucklord and will retail for $100 each. These special editions will premiere and be available for sale at Designer Con, Saturday, November 3rd. For those who can’t make it out to the annual art, toy and design convention in Pasadena, California, there will be a special way to purchase figures...but more on that later.

The Sucklord will be on hand for this epic group art show, and will also be hosting the second annual Suckathon, which will be streamed live from noon-5pm. Watch at www.toybreak.com!

First Look: Fig-lab Finger Five Series 1

Fig-lab has been working hard with five of the top artists in the game to create Finger Five Series 1, a new line of designer vinyl finger puppets made from soft Japanese vinyl. This amazing series includes characters from Paul Kaiju (Uncle Biter), The Sucklord & Suckadelic (Sucklord SD), MonstreHero (Monstre Ape), Onell Design (Warped Pheyden) and L’amour Supreme (Baby Huey).

Up top is our first look at the finished product, and these guys turned out great!!! You can see the original sculpts above, and below is a photo from L’amour Supreme’s Instgram feed which show’s four of the five Finger Five Series 1 vinyl figures hand painted by Paul Kaiju! The Blot can’t wait for these to drop! More details to come as they become available.

Paul Kaiju x Rampage Toys Super Ugly Unicorns

Rampage Toys had a huge surprise at Design Festa last weekend, a sick collaboration with Paul Kaiju! Paul traveled to Japan recently for Design Festa 35 and what will surely be a sick show at Uamou, and brought with him a small run of five custom Ugly Unicorns. Nicknamed “Super Ugly,” Paul did an incredible job on crazy looking Ugly Unicorns. The Blot loves all the different paint apps and especially those kooky looking eyes!

If you aren't able to attend DF in Japan, don't worry!  A very small amount of these Paul Kaiju x Rampage Toys Super Ugly Unicorns remain and can be yours for just $70. The few leftovers will first be made available to the Ugly Unicorn mailing list, and after that they will go up on the Rampage Toys online store.
