DCon 2021 Exclusive Return of the Living Dead Nothing Left Inside Variant Screen Print by Florian Bertmer x Mondo

This weekend at Designer Con 2021, Mondo will be releasing a new colorway of the previously released Return of the Living Dead movie poster by artist Florian Bertmer! The Return of the Living Dead Screen Print by Florian Bertmer x Mondo

The Blot was so bummed I missed out on Mondo’s release yesterday of this epic new movie poster for The Return of the Living Dead by artist Florian Bertmer! I love the punk rock vibe Florian gave to his movie poster with its old school flyer look, and Bertmer killed it with his take on the film’s iconic Tarman (originally designed by artist William Stout).

William Stout’s Tarman Vinyl Figure by Justin Ishmael

What’s cool about this new Tarman soft vinyl figure is that it’s in the same scale as ISH’s previously released Ray Harryhausen Cyclops (approximately 4” tall). Check out Justin Ishmael’s newest, officially licensed vinyl figure – the Tarman Mini! This awesome new mini figure is based on the Tar Man character from Return of the Living Dead that was designed by legendary artist William Stout. The Tarman Mini Vinyl Figure stands 2" tall and was sculpted by Arcane Visionaries based on an illustrations by DeathCatToys.

The Tarman Mini Vinyl Figure is currently available in two painted colorways (Black Painted and Brown Painted) and three blank unpainted colorways (Black, Brown and Flesh). Artist Timothy Pittides has teamed up with Bottleneck Gallery to release a truly epic movie poster for Return of the Living Dead! As the Texas based artist explained, “Return of the Living Dead ranked itself as my favorite film the first time I saw it back when it first debuted on HBO in the late 80s. I was immediately engulfed in its dark humor and extremely unique zombie and production designs. This is my Star Wars. So being that it is its 30th anniversary, I knew I had to give it a proper tribute. I had four concepts that I wanted to get across: Sexy, Punk, Zombie and Gritty. So I took those ideas and created something I hope all ROTLD fans can look at proudly and relate to.”
