The Cornetto Trilogy Movie Poster Screen Print Series by Mark Bell x Vice Press

Vice Press is teaming up with artist Mark Bell to a new series of movie poster screen prints for Edgar Wright’s beloved The Cornetto Trilogy – Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End! Produced in collaboration with Bottleneck Gallery, these officially licensed prints will be available both individually (in limited numbers) and as a matching number set of three.

Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy Print Series by Patrick Connan x Vice Press

This past Sunday was the 14th anniversary of the original theatrical release of Edgar Wright’s Hot Fuzz in the UK. To celebrate, Vice Press is releasing a new set of prints by artist Patrick Connan for Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End.  As Vice Press explained, “Patrick’s prints have a number of references that are fun nods to different aspects of each film.”

Last weekend was Thought Bubble in the UK, which saw the release of some really awesome artwork, which includes this killer new movie poster for Shaun of the Dead by artist Matt Ferguson! The Blot’s been dying for a new movie poster from Tyler Stout, and this one’s a beauty! Originally released as part of the Alamo Drafthouse’s Austin screening of Edgar Wright's Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, Mondo is now releasing its remaining stock of Shaun of the Dead screen prints online later today! Just in time for the world premiere of Wright’s The World’s End tomorrow, Friday, August 23rd. I freaking love all the details Stout puts into each and every one of his prints. Hope I can see this one in person one day! Although with over 1,000 pieces in this release I’ve got a feeling this will be one of the easier Stouts to get your hands on.

Edgar Wright Live! at The Alamo Drafthouse Screen Print by Kevin Tong

This weekend in Austin, director Edgar Wright is presenting all three of his films to open the brand new Alamo Drafthouse on Slaughter Lane. If you don’t know, this includes Shaun of the Dead, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Hot Fuzz, all three instant classics in The Blot’s book. To commemorate this exciting event, Kevin Tong has been commissioned to create a screen print for the event and it rocks! Everyone coming to any one of Edgar’s four screenings will be able to buy the poster, and The Blot is really holding out hope a few of these make it to Mondo’s online store eventually.

If you’re in Austin this weekend I really hope you’ve got tickets to this very special event at the Alamo Drafthouse’s brand new theater on Slaughter Lane. If not, the only show not sold out is the dinner screening of Scott Pilgrim at 7:15. So buy a ticket while you still can (and pick up a print for The Blot while you’re there!).
