Big Trouble In Little China Movie Poster Screen Print by Rich Kelly x Mondo

Check out this rad new movie poster for Big Trouble In Little China by artist Rich Kelly! As Mondo explained, “Rich continues to be one of our absolute favorite artists around, and we are overjoyed anytime we get to work with him on a new project. This poster for John Carpenter's tough guy classic is no exception.”

“Big Trouble in Little China holds a special place in my heart. From the head-scratching lines of dialogue delivered by an in-his-prime Kurt Russel to the terrifying, mystical ancient sorcerer Lo Pan, it's one of the all-timers. I wanted to showcase Jack Burton in all of his glory: the tank top, the boots, the weapons, the eagerness to mix it up (even if he really has no clue what he's doing.) I also wanted to highlight the guy who actually does all of the hard work, Wang Chi.” – Rich Kelly

Big Trouble In Little China by Rich Kelly is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. Limited to 250 pieces, it will go on sale at a random time today, Thursday, May 14th, at MondoShop.com for $55.

Last year, Rich Kelly and Mondo created an incredible movie poster for the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film (originally seen here). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Screen Prints by Tom Whalen, Rich Kelly, JC Richard & Andrew Kolb

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Screen Print by Tom Whalen

Later today, Mondo will be releasing two new posters from four different artists representing four very different eras of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. TMNT has had a huge resurgence over the past two years with a new cartoon, toy line, IDW comic book series and live action movie. While the movie left me feeling blah, the new cartoon, toys and comic book series have been fantastic! The Blot can’t even describe how happy it makes me that Nickelodeon realizes how special and beloved the Ninja Turtles are, and what an amazing job they’ve done introducing Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo to a new generation.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Screen Print by Rich Kelly

This epic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles release is comprised of a TMNT poster for the classic 1980s animated cartoon series by Tom Whalen, a post for the 1990 live action film by Rich Kelly, a poster based on the original Eastman/Laird comics by JC Richard and the amazing new TMNT cartoon series currently airing on Nickelodeon by Andrew Kolb. What an awesome idea for a series, and boy did all four artists knock it out of the park! The Blot especially loves Whalen’s screen print as this is the version of the Turtles I grew up with.

Breaking Bad Screen Print #8 - The Mexican Shootout by Rich Kelly

Breaking Gifs Limited Edition Breaking Bad Screen Prints - The Mexican Shootout by Rich Kelly

The Mexican Shootout” by Rich Kelly is the eight screen print in the Breaking Bad Alternate Reality Game Series released in honor of the hit AMC television show Breaking Bad’s fifth and final season. This print depicts one of the coolest scenes in the history of Breaking Bad, and that’s saying a lot! While I love this image of Jesse, Gus and Mike, I’m not so sure how well it works as a print. Yes the coloring is amazing, but is this really an image you’d want on your wall?

Rich Kelly’s limited edition Breaking Bad screen print “The Mexican Shootout” measures 18”x24”, has a run size of 300 pieces (only 200 available for purchase) and comes hand signed and numbered by the artist. The print will retail for $50 each and can be purchased here.

To celebrate and honor the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad, 16 of the top artists and graphic designers have been commissioned to create screenprints depicting some of the series' most memorable scenes, characters and shocking moments for Gallery1988 and its Breaking Bad ARG, Breaking Gifs. These screenprints are hand-pulled, each its own individual work of art, in an edition of just 300, with only 200 available to the public through this project. Once the edition is sold out, they will never be printed again.

Star Trek “A Piece of the Action” Screen Print by Rich Kelly

Mondo - Star Trek “A Piece of the Action” Standard Edition Screen Print by Rich Kelly

The newest print in Mondo’s Star Trek Screen Print Series is based on the Star Trek: The Original Series episode “A Piece of the Action” and was designed by Rich Kelly. This popular episode features the crew of the Enterprise visiting a planet that resembles Earth circa the 1920s, gangsters and all! The Blot has to say, Kirk and Spock do pull off the gangster look very convincingly! Unfortunately, this might be the weakest print Mondo has released as part of its Star Trek series...something about it just feels off.

Mondo - Star Trek “A Piece of the Action” Variant Edition Screen Print by Rich Kelly

“A Piece of the Action” by Rich Kelly is an 18”x24” hand numbered screen print with a limited edition run size of 260 pieces. There is also a Variant Edition that has a run size of 65 pieces. The Standard Edition Star Trek print will retail for $40 each, while the Variant Edition retails for $60. These actually went on sale last Friday, and the Variant is currently sold out. However, the Standard Edition is still available from the Mondo online store.

Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series #12 - Attack Position by Rich Kelly

The twelfth screen print in the Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series was announced yesterday, and it’s an interesting print by Rich Kelly entitled “Attack Position.” This is the first Mondo print featuring everyone’s favorite Wookiee, Chewbacca. While The Blot’s excited to finally see Chewie on a screenprint, this particular image isn’t my favorite. I’m not sure if it’s Kelly’s style, the print’s color scheme or the fact it depicts a battle scene on Endor from Return of the Jedi.

Mondo Star Wars Screen Print Series #12 - Attack Position by Rich Kelly

Here are Kelly’s thoughts behind his design: “After re-watching the original trilogy and observing how Chewbacca interacted with the rest of the characters, I realized that on more than one occasion he was basically used for comic relief with Han. Even during some of the battle scenes he seems to be fumbling around a bit. As a kid, I definitely remember thinking of him as a major force to be reckoned with. Therefore, I decided I wanted to depict Chewie as one bad dude; kicking ass and taking names. Endor came to mind as an appropriate environment, with Chewbacca gliding down a fallen tree, about to attack a couple of unsuspecting storm troopers.”

“Attack Position” by Rich Kelly is a hand numbered 24“x36” screen print. This Star Wars print has a limited edition run size of 400 and will retail for $50 each. Collectors can purchase “Attack Position” directly from Mondo Tees at a random time today, Friday, November 12, here.
