Yesterday, Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer their upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Black Widow! This prequel film officially kicks off Phase 4 of the MCU. Scarlett Johansson looks amazing as Natasha Romanoff as always, but wow – how cool is it seeing David Harbour in the classic Red Guardian costume!?! Wow, after months and months of speculation we finally know the official name of Avengers 4. Get ready for… Avengers: Endgame!!! Along with the unveiling of the film’s official title, Marvel also released the first Avengers: Endgame one sheet teaser poster and trailer. Like with the first three films in the Avengers franchise, Endgame’s first teaser movie poster is just the Avengers’ giant A logo with the film’s title. The big change here is tha the logo is disintegrating and disappearing before our very eyes due to Thanos’ all power snap. While the poster is good, the trailer is even better! The Blot’s excited to see the franchise return to its roots by focusing on the original MCU version of the team with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye and Black Widow. We’re almost exactly one month away from the opening weekend off Marvel’s Ant-Man and The Wasp in theaters everywhere, and The Blot can’t wait! This film looks hilarious and action packed, a combination that services the character of Ant-Man perfectly. It’ll be interesting to see how the film’s dynamic changes with The Wasp now taking a central role in the film. She seems like the perfect straight man to Scott Lang’s comedic tiny hero. In anticipation of the film’s release, Marvel has just released this Ant-Man and The Wasp international teaser one sheet movie poster featuring the film’s two stars, which has a very similar style and set up to the movie's final one sheet. The Blot got so happy when I saw this first teaser one sheet movie poster for Marvel’s next live action film, Ant-Man and the Wasp. That’s because it’s based on the first teaser poster for the original Ant-Man film (seen here). While that poster featured a super tiny, almost impossible to see Ant-Man on an all white poster, this teaser poster features a super tiny, almost impossible to see Ant-Man and The Wasp on an all white poster. Marvel always does a great job pulling concepts and themes from previous films’ movie posters and incorporating them into the marketing campaign of their sequels.

Yesterday, director Peyton Reed released what appears to be the final one sheet movie poster for his upcoming film Ant-Man and the Wasp! Then today, Marvel Entertainment released the first full trailer for Ant-Man 2, and boy does it look awesome! While Walton Goggins didn’t get much screen time, we finally got some really good look at (and a little bit of backstory) for the film’s main villain, Ghost. Plus every scene of Evangeline Lilly’s The Wasp looks bad ass! I love the way her character interacts with Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang. And how can you not be excited about the inclusion of Dr. Bill Foster aka Goliath (portrayed by Laurence Fishburne)!?! What do you think of this new Ant-Man and The Wasp trailer and movie poster?

Late last night, Sony released the first full length trailer for their upcoming Marvel film, Venom! While not an official Spider-Man spin-off, the film stars Tom Hardy as the iconic Spider-Man villain/anti-hero Venom. The trailer looks good, but the new teaser one sheet movie poster looks freaking awesome! There’s something about the CGI Venom’s head that really throws me off. It just looks too fake for my taste, especially considering how real other Marvel CGI character look, like Thanos, Rocket Raccoon and Groot. What do you think?

Who knew Super Bowl Sunday was going to transform into Solo Sunday…as in Han Solo! Rumors had been swirling all weekend that we’d be getting our first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story with a Super Bowl teaser ad, and the commercial definitely lived up to the hype. But thankfully that little taste wasn’t all Lucasfilm had in store for us. Because yesterday not only did they release the film’s very first full length trailer, but they gave us these four epic Star Wars: Solo teaser character movie posters!
Does Solo: A Star Wars Story look awesome or what!?! I could watch Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian all day. Here’s hoping Billy Dee Williams makes a cameo to frame the film. Either way, we totally need a Lando: A Star Wars Story next! Calrissian needs more screen time.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here… Today Marvel released the very first, full length trailer for next year’s Avengers: Infinity War! The film looks soooo good! Seriously, it does. Watch it now before you do anything else. Go…now…what are you waiting for? Along with a the trailer, which includes pretty much everyone from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel also released the first Avengers: Infinity War one sheet teaser poster. I really like that it’s now tradition that Marvel’s first poster for any Avengers movie is just a giant A. This one’s purple in honor of Thanos and his beloved infinity stones.

Day 2 of Star Wars Celebration 2017 in Orlando, Florida kicked off with a huge reveal! The first panel of the day was for the upcoming Star Wars film, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, and marked the world premiere of the movie’s first official teaser trailer! Today was a huge news day for Marvel’s upcoming third live action Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok! Not only did Marvel release this cosmically colorful one sheet teaser movie poster feature Chris Hemsworth as Thor, but they dropped this the very first trailer for the film. This teaser movie trailer is insane! The Blot loves every single thing about it, especially the retro ‘80s style graphics. But don’t take my word for it. The Blot’s still not sure what to make of Warner Bros’ upcoming Justice League live action movie, but the new teaser trailer they released at San Diego Comic-Con 2016 has me more optimistic than ever before. But then I look at the film’s concept art above and wonder why does The Flash need such weird looking armor!?! What do you think? And where is Green Lantern or the Martian Manhunter?
At San Diego Comic-Con 2016 last weekend Warner Bros released a teaser one sheet movie poster for the upcoming The LEGO Batman Movie and the film’s first trailer, which looked hilarious! This spin-off of the previously release The LEGO Movie looks fantastic. I never thought a movie about LEGOs could turn into a blockbuster franchise on the silver screen, but Warner Bros has done it! While most of the news surrounding Captain America: Civil War yesterday centered around the film’s newest trailer and the debut of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Spider-Man, Marvel also released Cap 3’s final theatrical one sheet movie poster. While it’s definitely not as exciting as the trailer (which you can watch below), The Blot really loves the composition of its design. What’s more impactful than seeing two teams of Avengers squaring off against each other ready to fight each other to the…death? Plus we’ve got Black Panther vs Winter Soldier and Hawkeye shooting an arrow with Ant-Man on board. How cool is that!?!?

Worst. Heroes. Ever. On Tuesday night Warner Bros released the first official trailer for their upcoming DC Comics film Suicide Sqaud and it was fantastic!!! The Blot was seriously blown away by its humor, action and all around aesthetic, and I’m not just saying that because I’m a lifelong Suicide Squad fan. To be honest, I was pretty bummed by some of WB’s casting choices for the movie, but all that’s forgotten now that I’ve seen this trailer. It was so freaking good I even got a little misty eyed!
The Blot still can’t believe they’re actually making a live action Suicide Squad film starring mostly super villains the world has never heard of. To coincide with the release of the film’s first trailer, they’ve also released this kooky new theatrical one sheet movie poster featuring the entire team. Man, this movie looks so crazy and out there I think DC and Warner Brothers might just have a hit on their hands!
Suicide Squad is set to open in theaters on August 5, 2016, and stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto as The Joker, Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Killer Croc, Cara Delevingne as The Enchantress, Adam Beach as Slipknot, Jay Hernandez as El Diablo and Karen Fukuhara as Katana.
The very first trailer for FOX’s upcoming X-Men Apocalypse has hit the internet, along with this teaser one sheet movie poster. Although The Blot is still excited to see this film, the trailer really left me feeling underwhelmed. Oscar Isaacs’ Apocalypse looks terrible and there was no real excitement in the trailer. Yes, we got great looks at the new Storm, Jubilee, Archangel and Psylocke, but the story looked terrible. Did the whole trailer really build up to our first look at James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier finally going bald!?! What a ho-hum kick off to what should be a huge blockbuster.
X-Men: Apocalypse opens in the US on May 27, 2016.
Last night during halftime of ESPN’s Monday Night Football, Disney debuted its first (and last) full length official trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Disney then released the trailer on the internet and preceded to stop productivity all across the globe in an instant. The trailer, featuring tons and tons of new footage, is seriously amazing! It gave The Blot so many feels I can’t even describe it. Grown men all over the world were weeping tears of joy with just one viewing. Even without a Luke Skywalker appearance, The Blot got seriously misty eyed watching this beautiful trailer directed by JJ Abrams. I want more, and yet...I really hope I don’t learn or see anything else until The Force Awakens premieres in theaters on December 18, 2015. December can't get here soon enough!
Last week at Star Wars Celebration 2015 J.J. Abrams released upon the world the second teaser trailer for this winter’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it is truly glorious!!! The Blot seriously can’t watch it enough. This one teaser trailer puts all other movie to shame! Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit here, but man does this trailer look fantastic. I could probably go on for days about how great this Star Wars trailer is, but I’m not sure I’d say anything the internet’s collective conscious hasn’t said already. So do me a favor, just watch it again for the 5th, 10th, maybe 100th time. It’s worth it!

This past weekend FOX gave the world its first full look at the new Fantastic Four with a final reveal teaser theatrical one sheet movie poster and the movie's first full length trailer. Unfortunately, both were really more of the same. The film looks like an amazing sci-fi film in the vein of Interstellar, but it’s far from your typical comic book movie. That’s obviously intentional on FOX’s part, and obviously they feel there’s a big market for that. Why else turn your back on the billions grossing genre that’s popular across the globe?
I will say this, I love Michael B. Jordan’s work and the new action scenes where the FF show off their powers look really cool. But will the general public be able to get past the hardcore sci-fi look of the film? My guess is no. Which is unfortunate, because Marvel’s first family really could use some love. It’s hard to believe this film will hit theaters this summer because there is truly no buzz (at least no good buzz) surrounding the FF.
Fantastic Four’s world premiere is scheduled for August 7, 2015.
