Super Seal Giant Robo V Z Edition Vinyl Figure by DJ Qbert x Hyperactive Monkey x 3DRetro

The second colorway of the DJ Qbert’s epic new vinyl figure Super Seal Giant Robo V drops today!  Based on East3’s original album artwork for DJ Qbert, the Super Seal Giant Robo V was designed by Hyperactive Monkey and produced by 3DRetro.  It celebrates Qbert’s tremendous turntable skills and the legendary cartoon robot that inspired the album artwork – Voltron!

The Super Seal Giant Robo V Z Edition Vinyl Figure is a colorway inspired by Mazinger Z from the iconic Japanese super robot manga series. It stands 8” tall and features a large turntable front and center on its chest. A homage to QBert’s Skratchy Seal alter ego, two seals – rather than lions – form the Super Seal Giant Robo V’s upper arms.  Inspired by East3’s use of spray cans on the bottom two leg robots, Hyperactive Monkey transformed the rear of the figure’s let seal into a spray can, while the rear of the figure’s right seal features a headphone jack.

Last weekend at the inaugural Five Points Festival in New York City, kaNO released this awesome Voltron inspired print collab with Matt Siren. Voltron Legendary Defender T-Shirt Collection by Hero Complex Gallery

Yesterday, Hero Complex Gallery opened its latest pop culture art exhibit inspired by DreamWorks Animation's newest series, Voltron Legendary Defender! The new animated television series will be premiering exclusively on Netflix this Friday, June 10th. To commemorate the show’s premiere, HCG has put together an incredible group show featuring a wonderful mix of production artwork and all new, officially licensed works by both Hero Complex Gallery and DreamWorks Animation artists. Voltron “The Defender” Screen Print by Ian Glaubinger

Dark Ink Art and Acme Archives Direct have released an awesome new Voltron screen print by Ian Glaubinger entitled “The Defender”! The Blot loves this colorful print, including Voltron’s fantastic facial expression. I haven’t seen this print in person, but from the picture above it looks like Dark Ink Art went all out for this release utilizing beautiful black licorice paper with glitter overprint. NYCC 14 Exclusive Voltron Lions Print Set by Tom Whalen

Acidfree Gallery’s next New York Comic Con 2014 exclusive is this awesome officially licensed Voltron Lions print set by Tom Whalen! Today, September 10, 2014, marks the official 30th Anniversary of Voltron’s debut on TV. To celebrate, Acidfree Gallery is releasing this beautiful Voltron 30th Anniversary Print by Vincent Aseo. What better way to celebrate the Lion Force Voltron turning 30 than with some awesome, super limited edition art.

Today at 12:30pm EDT, Acidfree Gallery will be dropping 3 different editions of Aseo’s Voltron 18”x24” hand numbered giclee print at the Acidfree Gallery online store. The Regular Edition is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $45, the Silver Metallic Variant is limited to just 50 pieces and will retail for $60, while Metal Variant is limited to just 10 pieces and will retail for $225.

James’ dynamic take on Voltron: Defender of the Universe is filled with mind blowing colors, and features the entire Voltron team looking pretty freaking rad. The second print in Acidfree Gallery’s awesome Voltron Screen Print Series drops today and it’s by one of The Blot’s favorite artists, Dave Perillo! This officially licensed Voltron giclee print is so freaking adorable how can you not pick one up!?! “Voltron: Our Key To Victory!” is an 18”x24” print that will be released in three different editions: the standard edition giclee print, canvas print and stretched canvas print. All three go on sale at 12:30pm EST today, Thursday, January 23rd, at the Acidfree Gallery online store.

Acid Free Gallery is releasing 10 amazing, officially licensed screen prints exclusively at New York Comic Con 2013, including this killer rainbow blend Voltron design by Todd Slater! The Blot keeps waiting for the big resurgence in Voltron’s popularity but for some reason it never really happens. It’s the one big ‘80s property that hasn’t made a comeback yet. Clearly there’s interest in it though because awesome prints like this one and random Voltron toys continue to be produced. Maybe it just needs another new cartoon to really get things moving since Voltron Force didn't seem to do the trick.

“Voltron” by Todd Slater is an 18”x24” 6 color rainbow blend numbered screen print, with 3 metallic inks and glow in the dark ink! Threadless Pop Culture Robots “Used Appliances” T-Shirt

While this awesome pop culture tee has been out for a while, The Blot wanted to highlight it while Threadless’ 10th Anniversary $10 Sale was still going on. “Used Appliances” reimagines some of pop cultures most popular robots as mundane household appliances. It’s got everything from Optimus Prime as a dryer, a Voltron lion as a vacuum and R2-D2 as a coffee machine. My favorite is the Mega Man hair dryer, but who doesn’t love the most obvious one, a Cylon as a toaster.
