Now because this figure is a bootleg and not a custom, Dodgrr cannot sell this great figure. But out of the kindness of his heart, he donated it to my ever growing Rose Vampire collection (hence the pictures seen here). I seriously can’t get over how he was able to perfectly recreate Josh Herbolsheimer’s original design, and what a sick job Dodgrr did spray painting this resin Rose Vampire. But don’t take my word for it, check out the close up pics below:

Kry-ju Edition Bootleg Rose Vampire Resin Figure by Dodgrr
As a self-proclaimed Rose Vampire fanatic, I got a tad excited when world renowned toy bootlegger Dodgrr tweeted a pic of a bootleg Rose Vampire he had just created. Not only is it a spot-on recreation of Super7’s most popular Monster Family figure in resin, but the colors from Dodgrr’s Krylon paint job do a fantastic job showcasing the intricacies of the figure’s details.

Now because this figure is a bootleg and not a custom, Dodgrr cannot sell this great figure. They Live Resin Figures by Motorbot
Motorbot just continues to produce awesome new hand made resin figures week after week! His newest creation is based on the aliens from the 1988 cult classic They Live by John Carpenter and starring Roddy Piper and Keith David. The They Live 4" resin figures feature all new alien head sculpts and utilize the previously seen Morgon body. Motorbot will be debuting these movie themed figures at Gallery1988 San Francisco’s Crazy4Cult show on Saturday, September 4th, but you can expect future colorways to be released soon.

They Live is one of The Blot’s favorite movies for a few reasons: it stars one of my all time favorite professional wrestlers, it features one of the greatest one liners of all time (“I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...and I'm all out of bubblegum”), and it was part of the inspiration behind Shepard Fariey naming his company Obey Giant.

But enough about the movie! While two of the They Live resin figures will be debuting at C4C, Motorbot has 4 more They Live figures (2 color and 2 monochromatic) available for purchase right now. Each figure retails for $30 each and can be purchased by contacting Motorbot at deadbeartoys@yahoo.com or you can wait until September 5 when they will become available on Motorbot's online store.

Johnny Cupcakes September 2010 Releases
Yesterday Johnny Cupcakes released an all new batch of delicious designs made to help get you ready for “Back to School.” I really like this crop of t-shirts and pullovers because of its great mix of JC logos, characters and designs.

I hate to admit this, but I was super excited about the purple Cupcake and Crossbones tee when I thought it was a Lakers inspired colorway. But after closer inspection, the Cupcake and Crossbones is actually green and not gold. Oh well! Regardless, this is a great collection to start off the fall season.

All of the t-shirts and hoodies above can be purchased directly from Johnny Cupcakes through its online store. The t-shirts come in guys and girls sizes and retail for $35.99, while the pullovers sell for $64.99 each.

"Star Trek: First Contact" Screen Print by Ken Taylor
The third print in Mondo Tees’ Star Trek Screen Print Series has really thrown The Blot for a loop. For the longest time I thought this series was only spotlighting episodes from Star Trek: The Original Series. Then came print number 3, which not only focuses on a movie but a Star Trek: The Next Generation movie at that!

"Star Trek: First Contact" by Ken Taylor is the first Star Trek: TNG screen print from Mondo and prominently features Alice Krige's Borg Queen. Mondo creative director Justin Ishmael explained that for this print they wanted “to focus on one of the most recognized and loved of all Star Trek characters...the Borg. Not only are the Borg incredibly interesting and visually stunning, but they function as a cohesive unit with the queen as their leader.”
The "Star Trek: First Contact" by Ken Taylor is a 24″x36″ screen print with metallic ink, and goes on sale Thursday, September 2nd, at the Mondo Tees online store at a random time. "Star Trek: First Contact" has a limited edition run size of 210 prints and will retail for $45. There is also reportedly a GID (glow-in-the-dark) Variant that has a limited edition run size of 80 prints and will retail for $80.

2tone Dunny Series Sneak Peek: Cyborg Dunny by Chuckboy
Well it looks like Kidrobot president Paul Budnitz has let the cat out of the bag! After almost 2 years of speculation, the long rumored 2tone Dunny Series (formally the Black & White Series?) looks to be in development. The KRonikle confirmed yesterday that the photos below are of a Cyborg Dunny prototype (sans arm) by Chuckboy for the upcoming 2tone Dunny Series.

From the little we can see here, Chuckboy’s Cyborg Dunny looks very, very promising! If nothing else, it’s cool to see Kidrobot working on an all new Dunny sculpt for this design. No other details about Kidrobot’s 2tone Dunny Series are currently known, but you can be sure The Blot will be blogging about it once more information becomes available.

Scott Pilgrim vs. The Matrix - A Trailer Mashup
I first heard about this fantastic video clip a few weeks ago, but finally sat down to watch it last night. It’s a mash-up of the audio from the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World trailer and video clips from The Matrix trilogy. I thought no way it could be that good. But then the buzz around the video kept building, so I finally caved in and watched it. I hate to admit it, but it really is that good! The video’s creators did a great job selecting scenes from The Matrix and, well, you already know how I much I love SPvsTW…but don’t take my word for it, check out the video below yourself!
If you haven’t seen it already, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is currently in theaters and could really use your support! So go out tonight and catch a screening before it’s gone from the theaters forever.
